All lines look good. Per the PP, it'll take some time for Alfie and Weiss to become accustomed to their teammates.

Got stuck at the office thanks to the chatty cathy boss...can someone give me the cliff notes version of the 1st period?

Thanks!

Detroit had to fight off a 5 on 3 then Sammelson scored followed quickly by Dats scoring on the backhand.

God have I missed RW hockey. Go Wings!!!

Sammy scores off a nice feed from Emmerton, then shortly after Pav announces himself to the east. Wings did a great job killing a long 5 on 3, killed their own PP. Overall, a pretty good first pd.

- Came out buzzing, looked awesome

- Two early and close-together penalties against = epic 5-on-3 kill. Howard remains clutch

- Kill gives us momentum, we turn up the awesome

- 1st goal: harmless enough Emmerton backhander from near the right circle is tipped - beautifully - by Sammy

- 2nd goal: Dats gets ahold of the puck not far out from the goal-mouth, pulls a very subtle but hugely effective fake (or two?) on some poor Sabre and puts in a backhander. Probably one Miller would like back

- Overall? We look excellent
