Pretty sure I was just hearing a "Let's Go Red Wings" chant.   That might just be the beer.

There are always 4K+ Red Wings fans at these games. I decided only at the last moment to not buy a ticket. I regret it now.

Mule will have a big game because it's Colorado.

I called it!

Huzzah!

Like I said after the first goal: Franzen loves the Avs.

Some incredibly terrible play, and we really do need to pick up a solid, veteran defenseman with a great first pass (with or without Kronwall) - but I'll take this win!

Also: Daniel Alfredsson is the s***!

Also #2: we won by more than a one-goal margin!

P.S. Trembly gets the last laugh?

Imma let you finish, and your cap numbers are all good and all that, but imma let Kenny figure it out. Kenny's cap numbers were the best cap numbers this year.

Regarding Roy's possible role in that dirty hit: I'm not normally the kind of guy who believes coaches would be that classless, but in Roy's case I'd make an exception. Better than 60% chance he planted that seed, hoping in some goonish, do*che-y way that he'd fire up his team against the Wings. Great win for the guys and I hope Roy and that whole organization end up paying for their lameness someday. Well, I guess the last 10 years of suckitude have been decent punishment...

Dunno if we were the better team tonight but still a decent overall effort.

We'll take the 2 points thank you very much against the always despicable Avs

Classy.

Seemed like the color commentator realized the severity of the hit, but the announcer just started going off about a taste of his own medicine...classless prick

Dekeyser played the most minutes among D men tonight with 25:54.  Great game by the kid.

Big E was next with 24 and change.

The studio guys trying to justify that cheap shot during the second intermission almost made me throw my TV out the window.

FWIW, I went to the Altitude TV site and sent an angry comment about Haynes' comments.

His actions so far this season have planted the seed. The way he behaves tells his team how to act on the ice.

Also #3: the Leafs lost, so we're both 6-2-0, right? Huzzah!

Also #4: I really hope Kronner's gonna be ok. *very worried face*

Also #5: DAN GIRARDI

Also #6: Seriously, I am LOVING the Alfredsson signing right now.

It crossed my mind before the game as well, I wouldn't put it past Roy to send his goons out. The guy will NEVER have any respect for Detroit.

That being said, does anyone know if he's trashed the locker room or beat up a player?

Oh Franzen, if only you would be more consistent you would pot 40 goals one year.

Everyone likes the Franzen who shows up against the Avs.

This. It's really not a difficult concept. Franzen shows up, yayyy. Franzen doesn't show up, boooo.

1 assist, 2 hits and 5 blocked shots as well. Realgud defensive defenceman.

Can you imagine if Mule played like this every night?  Or even just most nights?  Hitting guys, blocking shots.

That one shift was nuts. I mean, he had a solid game. But that one shift. Wow.
