He shows flashes of a decent hitter he just needs to consciously do it more. Aiming a little high aren't you? I'd be happy if Smith could do things like pass or make quality line changes. No one is able to execute even the simplest plays, atleast outside of the top line and Kronwall-Dekeyser. The Red Wings desperately need secondary scoring and he is not providing it at all. The top line is excellent, but that's all the Red Wings have and Franzen's poor efforts on the second line this season are putting all of the burden on Datsyuk and Zetterberg.
