That goal was more the product of Quincey's ineptitude than the Sedins' skill.

I'm not here to go on and on about their skill, to be honest I'm not nearly as impressed with them as most people are.  My only point is that you can't really say two guys got shut down when they had a goal and assist in the game.  Well you can say it, but in the same breath you've got to then say that the Sedins extra, super, duper, megaman shut down our superstars (based on the fact that our big guns accounted for zero points).

GMRwings:  "Well, in other civilized countries, 16 years old isn't considered underage.  For instance, I believe the age of consent is 16 in Canada.  There's some US states where it's 16 as well.

Get off the high horse.  Not like she was 10."

"Some girls are 17 even though they look 25."

@HeleneStJames: Calgary coach Bob Hartley praises #RedWings organization, says product Jiri Hudler is Flames' 'best forward' http://t.co/cHPxcf2f8U

I played with someone who played under Hartley for a bit. I remember him saying, "He talks really weird. 'Get your balls out of your mouth, eh.'" Obviously, the way he said it doesn't come through here, but I assure you it was hilarious. Still makes me laugh when I think about it.

I'll have to disagree, respectfully, of course, but jimmy was out of position in the net.
And in all fairness that was a good shot from a bad angle.

if a team wants to make the playoffs, they'd better beat a bottom feeder especially if the opponent has injuries to the key players. Counter their speed with solid defense and these two points should be in the pack.

Do I really have to put disclaimers after a statement like that?

Obviously they fulfill different roles.  Obviously I'm not saying we should go get Hudler.  But Jiri Friggin Hudler has more points than anyone on the Detroit Red Wings.

And that is what upset me about him leaving - he left right when he was starting to really cut his teeth offensively. Love my Hudler, damn you Flames!

Now there's a blowfest waiting to happen.

Who can name the two Flames figures?

"All done? Five bucks." - Pavel Datsyuk after an interview
"Very few cities in the NHL have the history or the following of the Detroit Red Wings." - Steve Yzerman

My outstanding memory of the Flames is Noodles (McLennan) going all Paul Bunyan on Mule in the 2009 playoffs.  Perhaps that was when he got the stuffing knocked out of him and he ain't been the same since.

Come to think of it, I feel like doing the same thing, most nights.

Wasn't that 2007?  Mule came back and got the GWG the next game.  I remember that.  Maybe he needs to whack him again.

Every time I see him, that's what I think of.  Dude ruined his image (in my eyes) with one second of idiocy.

Money on the board:  Current total: $6

$1 for a goal by any current Wing after whom I have named a hamster.  An additional $5 for a series-clinching goal scored by any current Wing after whom I have named a hamster. $5 if the other team fails to score against a current Wing goalie after whom I have named a hamster.

Hamsters I have had:  (current Wings highlighted)

Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik

Niklas Matthew Daniel Robert

Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan

Andrew Patrick Ian Todd

Jordin Damien Gustav James

oops, yeah... wrong folder/date.  Anyway, sitting him and not letting Mule play won't make him better. He gets paid either way.

Hope Jimmy has a good night tonight... sure would like 2 points.

Is the feed f***ed up for everyone else too?  With static and lines across the screen, and the picture glitching out every few seconds?
