I believe we will only see Nyquist for tonight. I think he is within 2 games of having to stay up or pass waivers to go back down. I don't think they want to keep him up yet and I highly doubt he would clear waivers. I may be wrong and hopefully someone with more knowledge on that stuff can chime in.

Go Wings!

Quincey is hurt. Looks like Nyquist is unlikely to get the call after all. They need to call up a defenseman instead.

Nyq potentially not getting the call because of a Quincy injury kind of sucks yes.. but, remember, that means we don't have to watch mistake after mistake from Quincy for the time being.

Silver lining?

I was looking forward to Gus-Gus, but I swear if they lose him over the fact that our regular shooters can't seem to find a goal, I will be beyond pissed off. Surely they're not that dumb, to expose Nyquist to waivers. But who knows??

I just hope they can find some happiness tonight, and win one. That is all.

Now that we've got that silly "lose in OT/SO" nonsense over and done with, let's win this one!

So Cleary skated with Dats and Bert......When is this experiment going to end? When has Cleary played good enough any this season to even be considered top line minutes?

The answer to your first wuestion is hopefully soon. I feel as if babs (although its highly undeserved) may be giving him his last shot to start producing and then sticking a fork in him if not. Somewhat of a wolf on sheeps clothing ifyou will.

Also as i previously stated in another thread im fairly certain babs is just filling that hole with cleary until alfie n weiss are back. Only putting cleary there to try an keep our secondary scoring lines somewhat intact and building chemistry.

All my opinions though.

Red Wings have officially recalled forward Gustav Nyquist for tonight's game, Ken Holland said.

ALAS! He's here! Rejoice my fellow LGWers! Our prayers have been answered....for now.

Really excited to see the wings break this losing streak. Im really happy also to see Nyquist up, though he is in fact a playmaker on a team that isn't shooting at the moment. Let's hope it's enough to spark a little something. LGW

hoping for Nyquist to win in a shoot out, thus commencing a montage of Red Wings wins and cool goals and saves, and then we are in the playoffs.

To the tune of this

As sweet and speedy as that may be, no way in hell would babs roll franzen/alfie/weiss anywhere below the second line. I think that line you have tho is without a doubt the best 3rd line in the nhl.

I like it but I would rather see like tatar or abby on the first with dats and bert and have cleary on the third.

Why the f*** is Cleary on the top line ? We don't need anyone to be the net presence because Bertuzzi is there already. Cleary has shown no reason as to why he should be on the top line over anyone on the entire team. Tatar has done a better job in less games, more productive, turns bad situations into good, makes great passes to the D (which Quincey, Kindl, Smith) cannot finish.

What has Cleary done besides get 3 lucky secondary assists and fall over and turnover the puck 22 times a game. Babcock isf****** retarded, thank god he isn't picking Team Canada roster...

Agreed, literally any one of our forwards would be better suited to the top line than Cleary.

Lets just cross our collective fingers in hopes that he doesnt score...sorry Pavs.
