I can't think of a more beautiful tribute.
"If I can be totally honest, it's not a lot of guys you get impressed by. Actually, it's no one else but him. From the bench, to see what move he makes -- you're like, 'I wish I could do that.' Sometimes you sit on the bench and just think, 'wow,' and you look over to the other bench and they sit there and shake their heads, too. He has great, great skills. I'm probably not going to play with another player who has the kind of skills he has." Mikael Samuelsson on Pavel Datsyuk

Wow. That's actually quite special. As a father of a one-year-old girl and a three-year-old girl myself,..heavy sigh...wow. Awesome.

I honestly think it's rather sweet, and a nice way to pay tribute to his friend.

Just in case others missed it, this article was posted on the subject yesterday:

There are few things that will melt a father’s heart like the smile of his little girl.

Red Wings defenseman Jonathan Ericsson is no exception.

“I didn’t know I could like her that much and just the feelings developed so fast for something, that’s incredible, it’s a good feeling,” the new father said of his five-week old daughter.

I love Maltby, but to say he wasn't a ****** is a dis-service to his career of douchebaggery.

This is sweet of Big E. I have a 5 year old daughter but this speaks the truth...

Leev or Liv.  Not Leaf.

I was upset that he had a baby because it put a damper on my plans to one day meet and marry and have little Swedish babies with him.
But this is a really nice tribute and kind of melts my heart.

Now that my days are numbered as I head down the home stretch of Mortality Lane, I've come to realize exactly that: Life is neither a race nor an endurance event, but rather a relay event.

Not a religious sort, T. Low, but you and your family are in my thoughts frequently.

Thanks so much you guys.

My family and I have the good fortune to know my approximate timeline. We can live each day accordingly, and plan for the time when I am not around anymore.

Stefan Liv and his family and friends had no such luxury. He was stolen from them in a moments notice without warning.

Love your attitude, man. Cheers.
