babs is going for career win number 460 tonight, which would tie him for 21st all time.

win it for babs!!!

this artcle had that and other interesting game notes in it..

it's a pretty good (short) read so I figured I'd share.

We've already gotten one movie-like moment with Nyquist exploding against Carolina. How about another, Mr. Weiss?

Also would be good drama for HBO and our 2014 championship dvd.

Weiss stepping up tn would make the HBO series truly unforgettable. As if it already isnt.

per mlive now babs is giving weiss a chance at the top line with mule and gus

http://www.mlive.com...gling_step.html

So Stephen Weiss will play with Johan Franzen and Gustav Nyquist, while Cory Emmerton centers a line with Daniel Cleary and Mikael Samuelsson.

I like these lines. That 4th line is a pooper but oh well. If they can generate decent puck possession, not get scored on and give the other three lines a breather than their job was done. I'm gonna try to go to that game against the Devils on friday since I live here in NJ. Go Wings!

Brendan Smith would make that powerplay unit so much better then Kindl

Babcock said Weiss will play on a power-play unit with Franzen and Justin Abdelkader up front and Niklas Kronwall and Daniel Alfredsson at the points. The other power-play unit features Darren Helm, Tomas Tatar and Nyquist up front and Jakub Kindl and Samuelsson at the points.

ughhh why does babcock keep insisting on putting samuelsson on the 2nd ppl ! brendan smith with kindl on the 2nd ppl unit would look so much better

i just dont get it

I have a theory that Mule plays better if he has a challenge and more ice time.

This is a fact

Yeah, if we want more short-handed goals against.

It still would be nice to have that one guy. (Jordin Tootoo, wish granted)
