I'm listening to the UFO Paranormal Network Radio hoping for some kind of extraterrestrial explanation as to why tonight happened the way it did. Body snatchers, mind control, there's an answer here somewhere.

Which players and for which picks?

If I'm an opposing GM, I'd only want youngsters like Nyquist, Tatar or DeKeyser.  Maybe Smith if I thought he had potential.  I don't see us trading the first several players I named.

And no one wants our crap.

Philly did want Cleary. The other team would not be giving up much especially with the Wings paying most of their salary. Of course that will NEVER happen. Who to give up - Quincey, Cleary, Samuelson, Weiss and Emmerton. Would this get a first round draft pick? Not likely. Maybe a third rounder. Getting rid of those players sure would help the cap space. I'd also bet that these same players would excel with a different coach and system. I keep reading that the Wings system is way different than anyone else's.

You're just now starting to think that?

I'd rather have Kyle Calder back right about now.

He reminds me a lot of Kyle Calder

Philly definitely wouldn't want him now with his stats.

Frankly, I wouldn't want any of these players if I'm a rebuilding GM.  If I'm a team making a playoff run, I wouldn't want those players either.  There's better options elsewhere, even if cheap vets is what I'm looking for.

Weiss they won't trade.  Not after giving him a contract only a few months ago in his first stint.  We're stuck with our s***.

According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

Somewhere out there, in a far away star system there is a intelligent being that really hates the Red Wings, so he takes the form of Kyle Quincey and secretly laughs to himself inside his head.

Had Howard been in net, everyone would be blaming him for this loss.

Considering it would have been a 5-1 loss, yes most likely.

this isn't Howie vs Monster, IMO.  But the effort from the team - or lack thereof - is a factor in wins and losses.

Just like Men in Black the little alien inside Weiss's head is malfunctioning.

I was half-joking, but that's the way things have gone for Howie lately. People wouldn't blame him for a game like this, 35 saves and we only scored 1 goal.

Losing against the Florida panthers that's wow. Seriously without Z and Pasha or the young guns playing unreal there is absolutely no support cast it seems. The longest winstreak this team has put together are 4 games..changes need to happen know the offseason

All I have to say about this one is that when Hammer Hands gets your only goal, you done played like ass.

If there is an alien inside Quincey's head it's screaming "get me out of here".

If by alien you mean a giant turd nug, then yeah, there's an alien between Q's ears.

Remember Pedro Cerrano in Major league saying "bats are afraid of curve ball" well maybe the Wings sticks are afraid of the puck.

Hasek used to scoop up the puck and fire it out of the zone like he was hitting a baseball.  :w00t:

I miss that.
