calgary continues to be one of the worst run franchises in the league.

I love Maltby, but to say he wasn't a ****** is a dis-service to his career of douchebaggery.

I wonder if Burkie is gonna pull a Leafs and attempt to speed up a rebuilding process that has been needed in Calgary since 2008? The last thing they need to do is act in haste, Feaster is a terrible GM, but I don't think Burke and his newly picked GM will be right for the process in Calgary. They need a couple top 5 picks to restock the cupboard that's been bare for a long time.

I think it depends on what kind of leash he has from ownership. If they say they want results sooner rather than later, hell speed up the rebuild process and vice versa. Anyway, I hope to see more truculence, pugnacity, and testosterone from the Flames.

Hmm, does Burke just fill the role, or does he want a puppet to take the credit?

Can't wait for crazy trades! YES!

Well Burke also has King above him, so it's not like he can do whatever he wants but why would someone accept a demotion from vice president to GM? Just weird.

Hmm, so Burke will go for grit, of course. Would he trade for Tootoo?

Tootoo for their best player. Don't let me down, Burke.

If he would do Tootoo for McGrattan I'd be jumping for joy do it Kenny :-)

If Feaster were the GM, we could probably get Monahan for Tootoo and Samuelsson.

I'm confused - did feaster not blow it up enough? the entire point was to tank and draft high. He should have been fired before the rebuild so the new GM had those picks - not much has changed since the draft until now.

Is there a kickstarter campaign for Jakub Kindl to never play another NHL game?

I feel like Calgary actually has some pretty decent talent that they've drafted recently, but from what I've heard today it seems like Burke isn't too high on a few of those guys.
