Looks like Jurco will make his Debut tomorrow, let's hope he'll get more than 5 min on the fourth line to show what he can do.

Play him with datsyuk and alfy, then go Tatar-mule-nyquist. Other lines don't care, although I thought eaves was good tonight

Eaves looked really good. The AHL got him warmed up and back to form. Hope they find a way to keep him. We are two weeks from having to clear cap space for DeKeyser to return.

And maybe Jurco can win a spot, too.

Let's all remember that Sammy was scratched tonight...

...and Jurco's getting called up...

..which means Sammy is likely still scratched...

...perhaps we're seeing Holland/Babs make a little bit of sense here!

It sucks that we can't play a game without someone getting injured, but hey it's going to be great to see how Jurco does and maybe if he scores 2+ goals Holland will move out some dead weight to keep him up.
Anyone else think Sammy may have played his last game for us?

Wishful thinking?

No , I think Sammy will keep playing can't do anything about that contract.

It will take a lot to get him back into the lineup though even if we're stuck with the contract.

Very excited to see this kid get some games in the big league, though I wish we could find a way to keep guys healthy.

Cleary's still in the lineup though... baby steps, I guess?

I definitely agree with that.

Sweet.  I've been wanting to see this kid for a while.  I imagine Babs will give him about six minutes tonight.

So stoked! I hope he blows us away and somehow earns a permanent spot. Then we could have Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Nyquist, Tatar, and Jurco all on the same team! :drunk:

I expect he'll make some nice plays but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't find the scoresheet with limited icetime. Also, has his skating improved since last year? I watched some GR games where he looked like he needed some work on his turns.

I missed the game last night but was following the game tracker on my phone while at work and was not impressed at all when I saw Gino then Crosby scoring (booooo)...I cannot wait to see Jurco, it will be my first look at him as I don't see Griffins games. Like others have said hopefully he gets going early with a bounce or two so Babs gets him on the ice!

I'm excited to see this kid play with the big team. I'd love to see him force Holland's hand some more. Thing is - the more nhl ready youth we have the more traceable assets we have. People still think our prospects are overrated and underproductive but if we can break in Tatar, Nyquist, and Jurco this year with all of them showing top 6 abilities - we are looking good.
