Down to three centers and Franzen was already playing there out of necessity. Andersson and Glendening are both 4th line centers too ideally. These injuries are unreal and it seems like the Wings have gotten hit with them significantly every season since 2008.

I think it's time to move Tatar onto Datsyuk's line. He is playing fantastic.

Edit: We cannot afford to give Tampa anymore points.

Sheesh, what a terrible period of hockey.  Both teams looking like they played less than 24 hours ago.

4th line has been the only line with any sustained pressure in the TB zone.

"If I can be totally honest, it's not a lot of guys you get impressed by. Actually, it's no one else but him. From the bench, to see what move he makes -- you're like, 'I wish I could do that.' Sometimes you sit on the bench and just think, 'wow,' and you look over to the other bench and they sit there and shake their heads, too. He has great, great skills. I'm probably not going to play with another player who has the kind of skills he has." Mikael Samuelsson on Pavel Datsyuk

Every team always says that fighting through injuries only makes them stronger down the line.  Is that true or something people just say?  We'll see.

GMRwings:  "Well, in other civilized countries, 16 years old isn't considered underage.  For instance, I believe the age of consent is 16 in Canada.  There's some US states where it's 16 as well.

Get off the high horse.  Not like she was 10."

Stevie, we don't care if you can skate very well.  We're just happy you are going to play at all :).

I can't see it not benefiting our young secondary scoring. But then again not a lot of scoring has happened

Getting pretty tired of us playing well but not getting goals/wins. We're so close all the time. Just win this one please.

You're absolutely right it is a total mind/body experience like doing yoga while petting puppies and drinking the finest scotch and smelling something that smells awesome all while having a tantric orgasm

Someone needs to find whomever has the Red Wings voodoo doll and teach them a stern lesson.

Wow, I had no idea how many trained medical professionals there were on LGW.  I should have known after a good portion of the forum concluded that Orpik "shouldn't" have been injured by Thornton, but it's pretty clear now that you've all chimed in on Franzen's injury.  Keep up the good work guys and gals, this thread wouldn't be the same without you pulling comments out of nowhere to validate your preconceived bias against Franzen.

So anyway, what's your opinion on something hockey related?  Literally, ANYTHING hockey related.

I get frustrated watching Kindl continuously give up on plays along the boards because he's afraid of absorbing a hit.

Better?

I'm pretty sure Arby's and their curly fries are safe in Detroit this year.
