dirtydangles 1,328 Report post Posted December 19, 2013 Hahaha this is a unique thread. We do have enough injuries to ice a pretty nice injured roster. Team 2 would certainly score more goals. 1 brennan17 reacted to this
Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted December 19, 2013 Team 2 would certainly score more goals. Now I'm not a hockey genius, but if you score more goals, you win right? 1 dirtydangles reacted to this
hooon 1,089 Report post Posted December 19, 2013 Now I'm not a hockey genius, but if you score more goals, you win right? HOLY ****. I think you may have just cracked the code on the Wings current losing streak! We need to let Babcock know ASAP.
marcaractac 3,963 Report post Posted December 19, 2013 (edited) On the bright side, I just read that Holland confirmed Hank will be good to go for sure come Dec 28 Also that Deke might play Saturday. IT's definitely looking like most of the team will be back in time for the classic though. *knocks on wood* Edited December 19, 2013 by marcaractac
dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted December 19, 2013 On the bright side, I just read that Holland confirmed Hank will be good to go for sure come Dec 28 Also that Deke might play Saturday. IT's definitely looking like most of the team will be back in time for the classic though. *knocks on wood* That's insanely great news. I was really worried Hank would miss the classic. Now he better not re-aggravate anything on Dec 28.
SimonSin 192 Report post Posted December 19, 2013 I just saw updates on most players but they said nothing about Helm or Franzen. Weiss might need surgery. Even as bad Weiss has been playing I really hope he doesn't need surgery. I was hoping he could probably pick it up in the second half.
marcaractac 3,963 Report post Posted December 19, 2013 That's insanely great news. I was really worried Hank would miss the classic. Now he better not re-aggravate anything on Dec 28. Yeah seems his back is good to go now, probably just needs the time to get back into game shape at this point and get some practice in. I just saw updates on most players but they said nothing about Helm or Franzen. Weiss might need surgery. Even as bad Weiss has been playing I really hope he doesn't need surgery. I was hoping he could probably pick it up in the second half. I read Franzen would be back after the xmas break, and that Helm was shooting for a return around the same time as Hank. Fingers crossed! dirtydangles 1,328 Report post Posted December 19, 2013 Weiss seeing a specialist to determine if surgery is needed - the guy is done for the foreseeable future likely.
marcaractac 3,963 Report post Posted December 19, 2013 Weiss seeing a specialist to determine if surgery is needed - the guy is done for the foreseeable future likely. It also seems that he has been pretty much been playing hurt every since he missed a few games back in early November. That explains a lot really. I see this as a good thing. Give him the chance to get healthy, and come back and be the player he can be. A healthy Weiss makes this team that much better. The lines this team can roll having him as a productive second line center is kind of insane really.
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted December 19, 2013 The second team looks a lot better, to be honest. Especially the bottom 6. Head to head I'd pick Team Bandaid.

Even as bad Weiss has been playing I really hope he doesn't need surgery. I was hoping he could probably pick it up in the second half. I just want him healthy by season's end so we can buy him out. I don't want a repeat of Samuelsson from last summer. Yes, I know we can't use a compliance buy-out on him, and no, I don't care. I would rather have $2M+ cap-hit for an available roster spot than $4.9M cap-hit to watch his play - or lack-there-of for another 4 seasons.

haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted December 20, 2013 I read that Helm has the flu and hasn't skated yet. Per Khan, he is skating. Ansar Khan @AnsarKhanMLive22m Nyquist, Helm and Zetterberg skating today at Wings practice. Franzen and Howard not on the ice. Ansar Khan @AnsarKhanMLive20m Based on the way they're skating it looks like Helm might be ready to play Saturday in Toronto but not Nyquist.
RedWang 422 Report post Posted December 20, 2013 Per Khan: Dekeyser to return Sat vs Leafs. Helmer to return Mon vs Islanders. Zetty/Abby to return next Sat vs Panthers. Nyquist skating. Weiss/Mule/Jimmy arent.
