Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted December 24, 2013 Quincey -3, Cleary -2. Wings have no energy, and we sent Tootoo back to the minors for this game. Great call there by Holland and Babs.

Crashnburnluder 385 Report post Posted December 24, 2013 What are you when you consistently get dominated by the worst teams in the NHL? Lucky they never make the playoffs so we wont get swept lol 1 F.Michael reacted to this
Euro_Twins 4,476 Report post Posted December 24, 2013 Put Quincey on for the rest of the period, the isles need to leave this period up 4-
Guest Crymson Report post Posted December 24, 2013 Quincey -3, Cleary -2. Wings have no energy, and we sent Tootoo back to the minors for this game. Great call there by Holland and Babs. That's Babcock, not Holland. Babcock won't scratch Cleary (revealingly, he did so earlier in the season as a "wake-up call" and then continued playing the guy afterward when nothing changed) no matter the numerous players who could contribute more in the latter's spot, and Quincey will stay both in the lineup and paired with Smith despite neither of those circumstances being good for the team. He's a good coach with an unfortunate, imbecilic unwillingness to make changes.
sleepwalker 512 Report post Posted December 24, 2013 I never thought I'd feel this about a Wing, but I am strating to go from dislike to hate when it comes to Quincey. He has got to be in the running for the most overpaid, and useless player currently playing in the NHL. Jeez...

Hockeymom1960 5,107 Report post Posted December 24, 2013 (edited) Quincey has the least amount of ice time and is a -3. Hellllooooo???????????? Oh and Cleary has the most. Edited December 24, 2013 by Hockeymom1960 1 esteef reacted to this
datterberg1340 626 Report post Posted December 24, 2013 And both Smith and Quincy on the ice for all three. Sheesh Babcock split these two up. Obviously, it ain't working for ya. Babcock's response- No, no, no, I'm going to leave them paired together and just assume that it all goes to plan. What? 2 Hockeymom1960 and Mckinley25 reacted to this

He's a good coach with an unfortunate, imbecilic unwillingness to make changes. It just blows my mind. He's won a cup, a gold medal, and a world championship. But yet he continues to play a washed up role player, and pairs up 2 defenceman who are a combined -20 on the season. Just insane. Worst period all year bar none, wake up and start to play. You're on goddamn home ice and the fans are booing you, the Lions did a great job of having the fans turn on them at home this year, don't follow suit! 3 GoWings1905, SensViking and Dabura reacted to this

I doubt it's his intention since he was said to have wanted Quincey back but PERHAPS, he is putting Quincey in such compromising positions so we can finally go get a real defensemen. Euro_Twins 4,476 Report post Posted December 24, 2013 So just so we are clear. Mrazek (the apparent saviour) and Gustavsson both can't win games for Detroit no matter how good they are, I don't think jimmy was our issue. Brodeur in his prime wouldn't make a difference right now.
Guest Crymson Report post Posted December 24, 2013 Isles all time vs Detroit 46-45-8. Just to keep it factual There are three very obvious flaws with your argument: 1) That's just a hair off .500, a number that very much does not entail domination. 2) It doesn't differentiate between ties and overtime losses, so that isn't factual at all. 3) Both teams have been great, awful, and everything in between during that span, and, needless to say, the rosters for both have seen turnover on the order of several hundred percent, and so the figure means absolutely nothing to begin with. Dabura 12,207 Report post Posted December 24, 2013 I think we can now safely say, without any trace of doubt, that we need, need, need to add a veteran top-four defenseman. We're interested in Edler, Girardi is being shopped - get someone good, give him Quincey's spot.
pucktividi 472 Report post Posted December 24, 2013 It makes me sick that we could have Cola for less than this pylon Quincey, but hey Q is familiar with the system
GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted December 24, 2013 Quincey and Smith have been awful together as a pairing from day one and yet Babs continues to stick with them. It's honestly ridiculous and I think Smith's development is being hampered by being anchored with Quincey. Put DeKeyser with Smith and keep Kindl and Lashoff together. Quincey should be a healthy scratch permanently. He's absolutely the worst player on the team. 5 Hockeymom1960, datterberg1340, SensViking and 2 others reacted to this
