Huge win for the Red Wings! Great to get two points against a tough team and with Anaheim looming tomorrow.

Howard has been sensational in two of the past three starts. Just a matter of finding consistency, but he stole this game for the Red Wings tonight. Sheahan and Tatar have good chemistry together. Gotta love how hard both of them played.

Very happy with a win as the standings are so tight. Keep treading water until the injured come back.

I am so far beyond impressed with Tatar. His dad passes away, he plays. And he doesn't just play, he was absolutely awesome. He really showed a lot of heart out there for his dad. I'm glad that we have an undersized forward on the the Wings that plays with as much heart and compete level as Z and Dats. To me, Tatar is a true Red Wing and showed why tonight.

He's used to the NHL size and speed now and you can tell he's comfortable out there. He's got swagger. He's hanging on to the puck and making things happen. He's not afraid to drive the net with the puck and it's getting us goals lately. The past 3 games he's been ridiculous.

What makes him awesome is how tenacious he is. In a lot of ways Nyquist is more skilled, but Tatar attacks CONSTANTLY and he's got swagger (which I think our team needs more of). Nyquist is just another skilled (softish) playmaking Euro. Tatar has got moxie, and on a team like ours moxie counts for a lot. I'd trade Nyquist right now if I was Holland. Not because he's bad, but because his value is high (everyone thinks he's the s***) and we'd get a lot for him and still get to keep the better player of the two.

i think a lot of ppl looked at nyquist and thought intant classic and possibly the next datsyuk im not going to say he wont be but right now head and shoulders tatar is amazing i have always wanted him up and when he had to deal with the whole crap earlier this season with being scratched it disqusted me now that he has proven over and over again his deication maybe babs will realize he deserves quality ice time
