The hilarity continues...

"Vancouver Canucks enforcer Tom Sestito’s 13-year-old sister gets into Twitter fight with ESPN’s Keith Olbermann"

http://sports.nationalpost.com/2014/01/16/vancouver-canucks-enforcer-tom-sestitos-13-year-old-sister-gets-into-twitter-fight-with-espns-keith-olbermann/

Those responses just don't seem like they are coming from a 13 year old. Calling bulls*** on that.

I think you underestimate the intellect of a 13 yr old.

I think you overestimate it. I work with kids that age, and terms like "liberal ass" just isn't part of their vocabulary. Keith Olbermann just isn't a "celebrity" that kids that age are familiar with, let alone know his history and political leanings. How and why a 13 year old sister would know what her brother makes per second just doesn't sound realistic. Still calling bulls***.

This girl is heading to high school next year... What exactly does she say that's so advanced for her age? "Liberal ass"?

If you're raised by a political family at all you know the term "liberal" by the age of 7. lol Also you don't necessarily have to know who someone is in the "twittersphere"

?

I absolutely believe a 13 year old would be intelligent enough to say that. I have tons of s***ty 7th grade poetry to prove it

Whether this *particular* 13 year old actually said these things? Who knows. It's the internet, nothing surprises me anymore.

Torts is a jackass. Just put Sestito and Kassian out there to fight the two mongoloids from Calgary and move on. I thought that was the whole reason Vancouver had Kassian and Sestito to begin with. If you aren't going to put the Sedins out and try to avoid it, get your tough guys out there and get it over with.

It clearly WAS a goal. It did clearly hit the net, which the officials didn't see, so according to the rules, play continues on, so the goal counts.

Yes I know it is a goal according to the rules, but how could the officials NOT see the puck hit the net?? There are four officials on the ice. If that is not embarrassing I dont know what is.

This whole thing solidifies my opinion that Hartley is bad news. Things I've read, things I've seen, things I've been told by friends who played under him (albeit not at the NHL level)...he's evil.

You could say the same about Torts, but I'd disagree. I think his biggest faults are that he's a hothead and a narcissist. That's better than being scum, IMHO.

I think Torts was right to match "power" with "power." You don't offer up your best players as sacrificial lambs. You just don't. (Unless you're the Wings.) Granted, you don't march over to the other dressing room between periods. But people are making it sound like he was wielding a bloody knife and screaming, "KILL BOB!!!"

I'm in no way saying players should be barred from starting a game, but when you put out your goons with Kevin Westgarth taking the opening faceoff and big surprise a line brawl breaks out, the coach should be held responsible. Because those players were sent out there with either an explicit or at least implied message to drop the gloves and go off the opening faceoff.

That is saying a team cannot start their fourth line without the possibility of a fine. Also, why does the league need to fine someone for a line brawl breaking out?

The Flames may have wanted to send a message after seeng this...

It's in no way saying that. Again, it ignores how obvious the intention was here with the 4th line out and Westgarth taking the opening faceoff.

If you start your goons for the opening faceoff, have a goon winger take that faceoff, then your players simultaneously drop the gloves and make no play on the puck, the team and coach deserves to be punished.

It's not like there will be many cases where a 4th line legitimately starts a game and a line brawl accidentally breaks out.

Calling the best game of the season a joke *lol*

Fans were on the seat, players and fans alike love it that's good ol' hockey the way it used and should be. I know people that are still talking and loving the Isles Pens game games like this are hard to forget, because they provide everything fans love about hockey.

Hartley has done nothing wrong, he can put the line of his pleasing outthere and he decided to choose his toughest one, good for him. Keep in mind, the Flames have been a bit of pushover team their new management doesn't like that and with O'Brien, McGrattan and now Westgarth the pushover days may be over, even as a non Flamesfan gotta love that quick turnaround.

Wonder what would happen, if Eakins sends out BigMac, Gazdic to start the faceoff *g*
