Euro_Twins 4,476 Report post Posted March 19, 2014 So what the hell is still keeping Datsyuk and Weiss out? Datsyuk, has a bad knee, he was shut down for 3 weeks following Olympics. Weiss had inflammation where he had his hernia surgery, Zetterberg had back surgery, helm didn't want to miss the star wars marathon, samuelsson is enjoying a warm beach somewhere, jurco was maliciously attacked on ice and suffered broken ribs, Cleary finally gave up, Gustavsson wanted someone to rub down his thighs, I don't even remember the rest of the injuries anymore lol. 2 Hockeymom1960 and martinezsvsu reacted to this

Nyquistfan14 489 Report post Posted March 19, 2014 Ericsson out with a broken finger. I swear to God this is the craziest s*** I've ever seen. Absolutely nuts! Pitsburgh may have the most man games lost, but the wings have to have the most impact players lost 1 SimonSin reacted to this

number9 3,297 Report post Posted March 19, 2014 I was gonna say let Alfie rot in hell and never ever re-sign his worthless old ass, but then he scored tonight so def re-sign his beautiful perfect self
SimonSin 192 Report post Posted March 19, 2014 I thought it was kind of embarrassing to see so many Leafs fans there. I mean I know there are even a lot of Leafs fans in Windsor and it's so close but tonight was brutal. I'm just assuming they bought these tickets way in advance. And tickets here are way cheaper than in Toronto so that could be a big factor as well. But I thought tonight was ridiculous. Here are a couple tweets from Nick Cotsonika about it. Nick Cotsonika @cotsonika 1h Huge roar at the Joe when the Leafs score. A LOT of blue in here. Nick Cotsonika @cotsonika 1h Wings wanted to move to the East, wanted more Original Six games. But they've got to be embarrassed by amount and volume of Leafs fans.

Dabura 12,207 Report post Posted March 19, 2014 (edited) I called it. That at least one of our top three would go down for most of the rest of the regular season. So now our top four is Kronwall, DeKeyser, Quincey (who cost us another goal tonight with another stupid penalty), and Smith or Kindl. I've asked it before and I'll ask it again: How does Holland, as a self-respecting GM, go into the season with our blue line, especially knowing full well that there will be key injuries at the worst times? And how does he not trade for a single defenseman when it's made clear on a nightly basis that our blue line sucks? Edited March 19, 2014 by Dabura

And how does he not trade for a single defenseman when it's made clear on a nightly basis that our blue line sucks? Simple answer - "We like our team" (I'm still trying to figure out who this "we" is, I'd like for "we" to experience winning streaks) 1 wings87 reacted to this
saven 48 Report post Posted March 19, 2014 I'm really want to know those that are bashing holland and babs exactly what they could have done to prevent these injuries or why/ how do you think they could address them now? Yes our blue line is a little thin but we have laser/ kindle as a 7th man who could we have afforded without dumping salary ? Who's better we could have fit under cap ? Please don't start listing free agents who didn't sign here because guess what they didn't want to sign here. If you don't think 20+ yrs as an elite team has made us more then a few enemies ( thus a last choice trade partner) then your being naive. I assure you ken and babs know way more about the sport of hockey, from a business standpoint and coaching standpoint , then any of us will ever know. If you think the " we like our team " isn't just lip service that means " we tried to improve but what was Ava wasn't what we needed at the price" you haven't been watching the same upper management I have. Yeah Weiss didn't pan out and yeah maybe that money could have went to a top 4 d man but that guy could have sucked also. I'm not saying some head scratching moves haven't been made but with a track record like Hollands ill trust him over any of you 100/100 times
