Injury Updates

Those two are a big part of a line that has kept us afloat through these injuries. Can't see Bert playing over both them, maybe jurco doesn't play but I think sheahan is in for sure. I'd like both in. My opinion tho. First we need to make the playoffs and get healthy

I hope we get to see a healthy lineup looks nice though

Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Abdelkader

Franzen-Legwand-Nyquist

Tatar-Weiss-Alfredsson

Miller-Helm-Bertuzzi

bert is poopoo defensively. glendenning would be a good fit there

i have to say legwand makes usf****** deep

Is Helm made of glass or something?

Starting to look that way. I know this will be viewed as blasphemous by some around here... but if we need to, I'd say throw Helm into the package that lands us a top-defenseman in the offseason.

Kindl+Helm+prospect and/or pick to Buffalo for Ehrhoff.

I give him a break this season... hopefully an off-season without back problems will give him time to get his strength and conditioning back to where it needs to be to stay healthy. If his next season is anything like this one...

Kronner used to break all the time, too, and he grew out of it. ;)

Helm might, unfortunately from some perspectives, have a nice looooong off-season, the way things are going without scoring and with all the brain farts and people scoring goals for the other team, around here.

Anybody listen to NHL network radio yesterday when they had some local journalist on?

Basically said there's a significant chance Datsyuk's knee issue could be chronic, and that he might never be the same again....

Combine that with Zetterberg's extreme wobble yesterday, my hopes aren't too high.

The sad point is...it would not even take that much to get him, if we just had a good GM...should've fired Holland and promoted Neil...instead, we're stuck with Kenny and Jim is going to improve the Stars..

I didn't hear that, but not surprised at all. I don't expect Z (obviously), or Pasha or Helm back this season, or for playoffs if we make them. Without more consistent efforts from the guys we have, it's not good at all.

That day weve all been speaking of when "Z and D arent carrying our team anymore" has seemingly arrived a few years ahead of schedule.

Were treading water with no rescue in sight. The team is getting older, slower, and more broken down literally every game.

Imo its time to miss the playoffs. Add by subtraction, cut lose the scrubs/old vets, sign a Dman and rebuild with an embraced youth movement.

Were simply not gonna win cups with this team and its age+injuries.

Good thing is that we're loaded with young incoming centers from our prospect pool.

Please no. That would suck so much. Would also make the Legwand trade make even more sense if that's the word that Holland got from the doctors just before the deadline.

Don't worry, we have guys like Andersson to take his place. Apparently he has great "Hockey IQ!"

??

No, it would make less sense. If doctors say all of them are not coming back this season, then you don't sell youth. Seems like the streak is more important to management than our long term development & chances. With them not coming back we would only be a first round exit with no chance to upset anyone. At this point, I'm calling Jarnkrok up and give him minutes. Plus, I try to dump someone expandable for a pick or a younger player.

Kenny's actions don't make no sense at all. The only defense for him might be that he's just an employee for Mr.I and if that man decides "playoffs now > future", then he has to follow those orders...

They're all bottom-sixers, though.

It's about money. Make the playoffs, make more money. Money > everything else.
