Maybe Kenny can steal some Russians from the KHL. The Wings have a history of stealing Russians from their native land, so this should be doable.

Ruthlessness. The hallmark trait of all good Hitchcock teams.

maybe he can lure Kovalchuk back over

git 'er done, Kenny!

the ruthless thing also counts for his attitude towards buffet tables

What an entertaining game - 60 minute game, 20 minutes of which is spent watching the Wings just trying to get it out of their zone. These guys must be really predictable, because the Blues seemed to know everything the Wings were going to do ahead of time.

Name rings a bell. He's like 6'6 or something, right?

Yep.  He's like 35 and an underachiever, so he'd fit in perfectly.

According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

This one hurts. I really thought we could take this one. :/

I set my expectations for this month extraordinarily low. You should've done the same. Use your head next time.

But is he completely non-physical and made of glass?

Don't Toews me, bro!

Khan tweeted:

Babcock said Howard injured same knee he hurt in December. Not sure extent of injury

Per Khan:

Ken Holland said he's been told Howard's injury is minor and that he's day-to-day. Status for Wednesday to be determined.

hopefully this doesn`t drag on to be a week-to-week injury

Yeah, Datsyuk was supposed to be day-to-day as well :/

What a depressing game to watch.  They lure you in with chapter one, chapter two goes something like "blah blah blah" and then when you turn to chapter three the pages are all blank.  It's my fault because I keep buying the books.

We got Yzerman in 83 and the team started to be pretty good late in the 80's.....  I could live with that.

We also had a GM that could spend daddy's money with ZERO restrictions from the NHL. However, since the salary cap has been reduced, I think we're seeing Holland is not the god he was made out to be.

Toronto has won what 5 in a row?

NYI, CBJ, NYR have been red hot.

Were gonna have to get our actual team back and soon to even have a prayer of making the playoffs :/

In terms of us & Toronto in the standings go, we have 2 games on hand and if we win the next 2 that puts us within one point of their current 57....we need to dig deep here and get some wins tallied LGW

Every time I watch the Wings they lose :(

I caught the last few minutes of the win over the Kings a week or so ago, but before that the last win I actually got to watch from start to finish was from the beginning of December...

The injuries and losing need to stop.

"Very few cities in the NHL have the history or the following of the Detroit Red Wings." - Steve Yzerman

I've never seen a team give up so much after they're down by more than one goal. Babs got these guys motivated. Maybe it's with him saying in every interviews were never going to win a game unless it's 1-0 or 2-1

Can't say I am surprised, Blues are just too much for this team. Making the playoffs feels like a long road now.

This team is rebuilding I wouldn't call Holland a bad GM unless we aren't on the upswing by next year or the year after. We have stock piled some nice prospects and I don't think you can expect the team to be phenomenal after all the retirements.

One thing that bothers me is Babcocks approach. He seems to not care if we lose and his approach with the young players is ass backwards. Lines are garbage every night and he rewards the wrong players. 1 PP goal in 24 games is bad coaching.
