Oh good show by the boys, Alfie is so solid you can't deny the level of poise he brings. Monster really impressed me the last couple games. He looks so good out there, before he looked like pucks were hitting him but now he's stopping them with confidence...nice to see, now let's go get Florida LGW
....Ladies and Gentlemen Jimmy "F%$*ing" Howard.

Another pretty solid game.  Hopefully this can continue...

The replay is on NHL Center Ice right now. I was out with my wife last night and just followed the GDT but didn't post, same as during the Chicago game. The boys are looking good, hopefully this is the start of a long trend in the right direction.

As far as Gustavsson, I think the biggest reason he was fighting the puck against the Hawks was a bit of rust. He seemed pretty sharp against MTL.

We won't be happy about certain guys being sent down once everybody is healthy, but some of the young guys are going to be lighting it up down the road. The future is seeming much brighter than it did on the surface a couple of weeks ago.

As a side thought, a Hobbit themed GDT could work nicely. Eaves seems to resemble Kili more than a little, imho. Sadly, I have no photshop skills, but seeing what Flashy does, it could epic. :)

It's pronounced "Zim" not "Exim". Aw heck with it, just call me Scott.

Gustavsson still has a problem with rebound control, he got lucky on at least one occassion when the net was completely empty that the puck went to a Red Wing. He sometimes have a tendency to get out of position when making a save, so the relies on his defensemen to clear the puck and be in the right positions. He got the job done though.

2 complete games against 2 very good teams. Color me surprised considering the way things have gone lately.

To be fair, we've been playing mostly good hockey for the past few games. Found a way to beat the Kings twice, deserved at least a point out of the Ducks and Rangers games.

On the Montreal broadcast of the game (TSN Radio 690), he's known as "Riley Shee-han".

I heard he wants his name pronounced differently depending whether he's playing ahl or nhl.

On a side note, this is my favourite quote from the wikipedia page on him: "Police stated that Sheahan was dressed in a purple Teletubby costume at the time of his arrest."

Zetterberg called Nyquist a 'chihahua' and Abdelkader a 'pitbull'. LOL.

That save was actually pretty huge for us. They take an early lead on a shorthanded goal (courtesy of an Alfredsson turnover) and maybe it's a completely different game and outcome.

I can't believe that was our first consecutive home wins since October. That's brutal. Now let's make it three in a row. Would that be the first time all season?
