How many posts are we gonna hit tonight?

91. Then, a 28 year old Sergei Fedorov will descend from the ceiling and score 9 goals and assist on a tenth to lead the Wings to a 10-3 win.

So let it be written.

Defense is struggling but let's not freak out too much. The absence of both Pav and Z hurt tremendously and we do have lots of youngsters and that leads to some defensive lapses.

Something should change though. Can't do much about Kronner deciding to leave his brain at home lately, but I'd really like to see Quincey scratched for a while. Even if it is for Kindl. Dekeyser and Kindl played well together last season in limited time, Q is simply hurting DD. Or at least try DD and Smith, and give Q less minutes on the 3rd pairing. Ideally Marchenko would be given a better look but that's not gonna happen.

I get where you're coming from.

The loony bin?  No way that happens, nor should it.  They don't need to go into complete let's suck for a few years rebuild mode.

Oh this young man has had a very trying rookie season, with the litigation, the notoriety, his subsequent deportation to Canada and that country's refusal to accept him, well, I guess that's more than most 21-year-olds can handle... Ogie Ogilthorpe!

Can't wait until Steven Weiss comes back and saves us.

At this rate he will be back before Datsyuk. Man I'm getting tired of this - Z literally limped through games for us until Franzen could come back.

Is there a kickstarter campaign for Jakub Kindl to never play another NHL game?

Luke Schenn is a monster.

No he's not.  If he was, he'd be an elite d-man.  He isn't, although he's better than Ericsson.  He just gets compared to Lidstrom, either consciously or unconsciously, because we've gotten used to our #1 guy not getting caught very often.

This HAS to have something to do with Sochi. Like come on. From what I have read its Datsyuk who has expressed discomfort but they haven't said what specific injury he has - I'd like to know if doctors can actually quantify/see the injury itself using ultrasound.

Normally I wouldn't think Datsyuk the type to sit out for self preservation. But this is the last olympics he likely plays and he wears the C for the Host Nation. I'd feel pressure too to come in healthy and dominate - and I wouldn't be as upset if Z wasn't left to carry the load and go down injured.

Definitely a growing pains type of game of the youngsters. There's just no game changers in the lineup tonight.

Our father who art in the Joe. Hockey be thy name. Thy will be done. The cup will be won. On ice, as well as in the stands. Give us this day our hockey goals. And forgive us our penalties, as we forgive those who cross-check against us, Lead us not into defeat. But deliver us to victory. In the name of the fans, ...Lord Stanley, and in the name of the Wings. Amen

Why isn't the great leader Cleary taking over the game and providing the leadership we need? Z was able to spark this team on his own.

Why isn't Cleary wearing the "C" tonight?

Get it?  Cleary starts with a C.  Haha.   :cheesy:

I would trade Kronwall if we're serious about getting real talent. The rest of the league probably doesn't know he's awful 75 percent of the time
