Just curious what do you guys think we could fetch for Quincey? 2nd rounder if were lucky?

And any chance we would be able to find a taker for kindl?? I think it would be tough cause he's still got 3 more years left although his cap number isn't brutal but his stats aren't really anything great

I truly believe Weiss is a 3rd line player especially with wings when splitting Pavel n Z... 29 is just a number player can be in his prime at 36,, I'm saying his best years r behind him and we will be strapped with his 5 mil per years

Quincey doesn't have much value to the Wings fans but I'm sure he has value on the trade market. Not sure what he would fetch though, nothing significant, maybe a third rounder and a low prospect? I don't know.

This isn't random third line center were talking about. It's Darren Helm. One of the fastest and most defensively responsible centers in the game. Liked and respected by teammates. Liked and respected by management and the coaches. Loved by fan base. He IS our bottom 6. He won't be traded just like Draper was never traded. Expendable? IMO he's one of our bright spots...

Tatar, Helm and a first for Kesler ? Gillian takes that and starts running but yeah it will be around the asking price that's why i don't want him. I would do the Ehrhoff trade

I would take Gillis down from Tatar to Juro. I think Tatar is too good of a player to trade away. Not only does he possess a lot of talent, but he is full of energy and he competes shift in and shift out.

Helm, Juro, a 1st or something around those lines to get Keser and I would be happy,

As for Erhoff, he has an absolute rocket. If the Wings get him, our Powerplay will become much more deadly. Not only that, he is good at moving the puck. At this rate, there are a ton of rumours, which makes me very excited for Wednesday. I am not saying Kenny will do something, but I just feel that he realizes that something has to be done.

I actually prefer Jurco to Tatar. At this point obviously Tatar is better but everyone is always complaining about wanting to get bigger as a team. Jurco is a bigger guy with amazing hands plus he has shown he isn't afraid of throwing his body around not to mention the fact that he should continue to put some weight and get bigger and harder to get off the puck.

Some people don't want to trade Helm and I understand that but if you want a guy who has put up 40 goals you are gonna have to give something up. We know Sheahan will be on the roster next year unless he is traded because he is out of options, he should be the 3rd line center with Jurco and Alfie or Pulk. Babcock also loves Glendening. I think he has earned the right to be in that 4th line role next year. That game against the Blackhawks cemented that for me. Andersson might be able to sneak through waivers or play wing on the 4th line. Again, Sheahan is a guy that makes the team bigger. As much as I love Helm he doesn't bring much scoring wise. Sure he went through a short spurt early this year but we haven't seen much of anything scoring wise after that.

Maybe Helm, Tatar and a 2nd. I would be fine giving that up for two years of Kesler, if not more. I think we could really use his help especially with injuries to our top 3 C's right now.

If we make it to the playoffs a line of Z-Pav-Kesler with Kronwall-Erhoff would be something that we could definitely work with and advance with.

if you aren't willing to trade Helm, then this team stays the same. IF a package was presented for a player that we needed, and Helm was going back the other way, he is gone.

Hey, what if Nashville offered us Weber and the key piece going back was Helm, would he still be untouchable?

I don't think anyone is saying Helm is untouchable for a superstar. But nobody would trade a star for Darren Helm, he's good but not good enough to land a star player. As such, you'd basically be trading Helm for a pretty good player (but not a great one) and I think some feel that he's got more value to our team than does the type of player Helm would get you in a trade.

Not saying I agree or disagree, but I do think it's important to be accurate. Helm for Stamkos, yes. Helm for Chris Stewart, no.

Z - Pav - Kelser

Franzen - Andersson - Alfie

Tatar - Tinky - Jurco

Miller - Glendening - Abdelkader

..if that were the roster going the playoffs, I would be more than fine with that...remove Andersson and give his roster spot to Jagr and I would be even more excited.

Z - Pav - Jagr

Franzen - Kelser - Alfie

Tats - Tinky - Jurks

MIller - Glenny - Abby

I would be more than fine not having Helm. I am not saying trade him right f'ing now, but if I am getting Kesler in return...thanks for the memories!

I wouldn't call him expendable in any way. Tradable as part of a package for the right player coming back? Absolutely.

I'd still rather trade Nyquist than Tatar. He's the better player sure, but because of that he'll get you the better return. Plus Tatar is aggressive. We don't have enough of that. He's harder to play against and gives us a different dynamic. Nyquist is really skilled, but he essentially plays the same style as everybody else. In another year or two when Tatar's up around 195 lbs. he's going to be a motherf*cker to play against.

A buddy of mine in Calgary says that radio stations are saying that Detroit is "pushing hard" for Cammalleri and Kevin Westgarth...WTF?

Wishful thinking on their part I would say!

...please do not trade Tatar. I know you gotta give to get, but please no. IMO Tats, Tinky, Jurks and Nyqe stay put!

Interesting. Eric Francis is a well plugged in guy in the Flames org. and he runs one of the radio stations in Calgary, so that could be believable. I was in favor of Cammy before the injury to Z, Westgarth is a decent enforcer but he got TKOed Saturday night and I can't see him playing much for us down the stretch when the points are so valuable. But who knows, I enjoy rumours

Looks like the Sens might be looking to unload Jason Spezza. Not that I think there's any chance we'd get him. But he would look so nice with Datsyuk or Zetterberg (or both). Most likely Ottawa's asking price will be staggering. And Spezza has a huge contract, so im sure we don't even have interest. But one can always dream.

Could you imagine how much Ottawa would hate Detroit after getting Alfie and Spezza? I'd almost feel bad...almost.

Gazdic just destroyed Westgarth...

Why Cammy? I just don't get it why Kenny would go for a another small forward? At the same time, it's Kenny...

the big splash to make our team better: Kesler - Edler

something smaller to make our team stronger: Jagr, Weaver or Boyes - Weaver

We just cannot sit on our hands, somewhere put there is a deal that makes sense for us and will make our team stronger!
