I like to believe that it has more to do with that he's finally lost the jitters. He's the counterpart on this team to Tatar as far as our young guys go. Both have had some ups and downs this year and they're both really comfortable in the NHL now. So other teams better look the f*** out cause we have 2 dynamic duos on this team now and that's not counting Sheahan and Jurco who are getting really comfy here.

What's reassuring is that their "downs" haven't really been that bad. Normal for players of any caliber. And they seem to bounce back from droughts, unlike, say, Brunner. They're the real deal. Let's just hope they're not playoff chokers now, haha.

Well, we already know Nyquist can be clutch in the playoffs. Tatar, I feel like he was born to play on The Big Stage.

If I had to guess, I'd say it was mostly a timing/rhythm/pace issue. When he was cold, everything he was doing was just a half-second or half-an-inch off, i.e. he had to re-adjust to the NHL game after having adjusted to the AHL game.

That half second is a long time when you have it and it's really short when you don't. That's the difference between NHL and AHL and I agree with you and I think he and Tatar have adjusted very well. Tatar's not giving it up at the oppositions blue line anymore and Nyquist is like they said, going to the scoring areas and he's absolutely lighting it up right now.

Edit: It doesn't hurt when our goals look like: Nyquist (2), Tatar

Smith Kindl and Quincey.....upgrade two of the three and we have a chance. (I realize Smith is not going anywhere) If Holland can't or won't, we will get bounced even IF we make the playoffs. The good news is, it's clear what our need is.

Yeah I was sad to see Brunner go, but it appears he was build for a 50 game season.

It's funny - I don't know if people here realize this, but a fair number of 'hawks fans were swooning over Nyquist during our postseason series. When he's on, he's one of our best players, period. That's why sticking him on the farm at the start of the season was such a farce. He might have 20+ goals at this point. We might've gotten some lost points back. smh.
