Well, Switzerland is gone. And I thought they would surely make it to the quarterfinals. Bah.

Czech just sealed the deal.

Goodbye Slovakia, get your crap together please, you're the biggest disappointment of the tournament.

Nope Switzerland is how can you lose against Lativa? They are inferior to the Swiss in almost every aspect and yet they've won :(

At least they won two games! Slovakia won a grand total of ZERO GAMES in the entire 2014 Olympics!

*lol* so free tickets for USA, SWE and CAN only FIN vs Rus is a matchup between two very good teams.

Well lets just say thered be some major upsets if the big 4 dont advance. I dont wanna check the forums that day if that happens.

Well, as usual in the Olympics, no surprises yet. Canada, USA, Russia, Sweden and Finland. Predictable.

Ah well, I just hope USA keeps it going. If Finland beats Russia, they'd be on track to have a respectable streak going, wouldn't they? Someone mentioned them medaling in three of the last four Olympics. Yet they never get much press.

Sweden and Canada got very lucky with their matchups. Both should be blowout victories. But Russia and USA will def have a legit test in front of them. Should be interesting to see how it all unfolds.

Lol of course... USA has a pretty easy matchup against Czech, they'll be pretty tired on top of that. USA should have absolutely no problem rolling past them

Latvia and Slovenia are two surprising teams advancing

For some reason I think that the Czech team will be a tough game for the Americans. I can see them looking past the Czechs toward Canada and sleep walking through the first period or so. Hopefully, the bring the intensity like they should.

Latvia upsets the Swiss? Sheesh, how easy are they going to make it on Canada? Talk about an easy ride to the semi's....easiest group in the Tourney and now Latvia... what a croc of conspiracy crap!

Wonder if the USA "ends up" losing to the Czechs....Hmmmmm.....guess we will cross that when we get there....

Of course what? The Czechs are a much more formidable opponent than Slovenia or Latvia. Any team with several NHL players will be a tough test. Is there really any question about that? I should be the one saying "of course." Of course some Canadian would try and downplay the toughness of team USA's matchup, while their team gets yet another non-NHL caliber team to play (aside from playing Finland).

It's not like I was singling Canada out. I said Sweden and Canada both have very easy matchups, while the Russians and Americans will both have tougher tests. And that's 100% true.

They do in my book, the seed doesn't say anything and with the injuries Finland has there's no doubt that Russia is the favourite.

Eh, idk. I thought they weren't going to be that good in the beginning of the tourney, but even with the injuries they played rather really good, and also took Canada to OT. I think the gap is closer and people keep underestimating them.
