Big game tomorrow night against Ottawa, must win.

23 games left they are all must win.

Would have been nice not to give up the loser point to a team in our conference, but

Good win.  Another 2 points tomorrow puts them in the driver seat for the playoffs.

Oh this young man has had a very trying rookie season, with the litigation, the notoriety, his subsequent deportation to Canada and that country's refusal to accept him, well, I guess that's more than most 21-year-olds can handle... Ogie Ogilthorpe!

Nyquist skating right by Subban for the tap in.

Karma breezes by P.K. aka Mr. Discipline

Goodnight LGW.  Glad to be back on the same side!

GUS! Best player on the ice tonight. Looked dangerous nearly every shift. Franzen was terrific too, which is a good sign going forward.

Boring, but efficient game until the inevitable blown lead. They are gonna have to clamp down defensively with Z out and Pavel still injured.

Shame they gave the Canadiens a point, but more importantly the Wings got two.

Loved the way Mule skated tonight...looked hungry and fully involved.

Great game actually by the Wings.

Best player not named Tatar.

Give it to Montreal, despite being heavily outplayed for 50 minutes they managed to limit the # of quality chances and played an almost perfectly clean game (....), and got rewarded with a point.

Thankfully, the hockey gods were just in this one and we got the 2 points we deserved. Good for Nyquist, he was great all game and definitely made his case for being more than a 4th line player. Bertuzzi got the goal, but as expected was awful other than that. I hope he's out of the lineup for good soon.

Good defensive effort overall. Kronwall and Ericsson can play so much better though. Like it or not, Quincey is playing well. Dekeyser was also great tonight.

Tatar was great too, but I thought Gus was consistently better overall. Either way, they are both a treat to watch.

Geez...It is never easy. I remember feeling the same way when the Wings had a powerhouse team and you just knew they were gonna tie the game up with a minute left. Nowadays it's like I'm not shocked at all if we give one up at 19:59 of the 3rd. Well we needed these points. Good job Gus!!

Good win on the road but that extra point is stinging a little. Oh well, 5 points back of MTL with one game in hand. Tomorrow is going to be a tough game.
