MabusIncarnate 5,344 Report post Posted March 3, 2014 I sent this over to the Water Cooler as the Creative Media Section is more meant for original artwork, photoshops, wallpapers, and gifs created by site members. I have been watching True Detective, its a very dark narrative so far and i'm very much enjoying it. What I also like is that each season will be an entirely new cast and story line. Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey will only be in the first season's 8 episodes. For those unfamiliar, True Detective is a new HBO original series for 2014 and plays out like a cross between the movie Se7en and Law & Order style detective narrative drama. It's not for the light hearted, has a bit of a twisted aspect to it and can be portrayed as mildly disturbing. Yea I heard about the cast and story changes for next season, at first I was a bit disappointed but then thought about it a bit and it makes sense somewhat because of the story... They both skilled the acting this season, for sure will be hard to top... Last nights episode had another epic cliffhanger left me dying to see more lol... Did you watch the episode? MabusIncarnate 5,344 Report post Posted March 3, 2014 I still need to watch last nights episode, I generally watch on Monday through the xbox on HBO GO when it comes up. American Horror Story does something similar, each season it's a new set of characters and an entirely different story line, although a lot of the cast remains the same. I can only guess who they might get for season 2, I anticipate more great and well known actors to match or top what they have been doing this season. It's tough getting into shows like this that have so few episodes per season, the BBC version of Sherlock is another example as it's only a 3 episode season but each one is two hours long. I'll continue to watch True Detective after this season, i'm enjoying it thoroughly so far and i'm eager to see how it all concludes. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
brooklynsour 31 Report post Posted March 4, 2014 I don't watch many shows but true detective had a I'll trailer and after first episode I was sucked in. I didn't know it would as short or have different cast every season but w.e no biggie.... Yea the last episode will be crazy so much undiscovered and only 1 left lol can't wait...
