Bob McKenzie says Detroit, Pittsburgh, Anaheim and Florida have interest in Legwand. After getting Goc, Pittsburgh sounds like they're out.

Legwand is a good defensive center and has 40 points so far this season. He'd certainly help with the injuries this season...but with Weiss on the team, I don't see a long-term future for him here.

Prediction:

Abdelkader, AA, Ouellet and 2nd for : Kesler

Almquist, Frk, Kindl and 1st for : Erhorf

I'll take it.

Wait? Did you just trade Almquist to two different teams?

Damn it! I forget we have two AA's

Why would Helm and Datsyuk being out throw a wrench in the plans? Unless Holland was planning on trading one of them, which is retarded. If anything their injuries make it MORE important we make a move. Maybe an additional move being needed is throwing a wrench into plans?

I just hope he doesn't use injuries as an excuse to NOT do anything.

EDIT: Add me to the bunch who thinks a move might happen. Last year Holland had already admitted we weren't going to do anything at this time on deadline day. If he's still "hoping" to make a move with an hour and a half left, that means we're still in on someone.

If he was planning to trade one of our young centremen; the injuries would make it less desirable to do so. Let's say he was shopping Andersson, or Sheahan. He now wouldn't want to because he would see Emmerton as the replacement, which probably is worse than what we have with Andersson and Sheahan.

Just a theory though.
