LOL.

It is scripted, but that doesn't make performing with injuries any easier. People never seem to understand that. Wrestlers are tougher than any athletes I can think of when it comes to performing with injuries.

You're misunderstanding what I'm saying completely. I didn't say performing with injuries. I'm saying you can't compare working hurt in a preplanned match with competing in the highest level of hockey. Injuries take their toll on both. But in real sports injuries make it harder to keep up. In wrestling, the opponent can help work around an injury. It's a dumb thing to compare.

That's fair.

I just hate seeing the injury excuse being used for every problem and every player on the team. Especially in back to backs seasons like this.

It is a hindrance for sure. Obviously it all comes down to what the injury it is. A bum knee, with the right treatment guys seem to tough it out for things like the playoffs. A hernia though, just makes so much extra work trying to skate at that level. Homer could probably have dealt with it with his style of game (and the fact he was an awful skater anyway). Definitely a tough one to deal with for a center.
