GoalieManPat 1,007 Report post Posted March 9, 2014 We don't need to a Hasek or Sawchuk but I'd be happy with a goalie who actually won a game once in a while and preferbly with a save percentage above 92ish. And they have one. Howard stole the Anaheim series and was the leading reason down the stretch the Wings even made the playoffs. Players have off years. Doesnt mean his game is gone forever. You guys are blaming Howard but if you don't score, you don't win. I think that Devils game gave everyone false hope. Without Dats & Z we can't win consistently. This team needs some serious stability on the defensive side I know it will not happen this season but for next season, take advantage of the Canucks firesale and get someone like Hamhuis, Bieksa, Ehrhoff or Andy Macdonald. Rangers play better defense than the Devils. They played with more heart and urgency today. Missing the playoffs might wake up management unfortunately. Howard has been garbage this season anyway you look at it. Same save percentage, Howard's GAA is slightly higher.
