With the Flyers beating the Penguins for the second straight day, they've leapfrogged both the Rangers and Columbus.

What would everyone want to see happen elsewhere?

I'm torn between the Leafs and Caps - A leafs win pushes them further away from us, but prevents Washington passing us. Whereas a Caps win helps them hop over us, but keeps the leafs in reach (currently 3-0 washington)

SJ - NYR - Needing SJ to win this in regulation

If Buffalo could upset Montreal that would be a great help, and Colorado beating Ottawa would keep the Sens out of contention (the less teams battling for that number 8 spot the better IMO)

Obviously, it goes without saying that all of these things comes second to the Wings taking care of things tonight in Chicago, which will not be easy. Still, all this scoreboard watching is both interesting and nerve wracking. I think us Wings fans maybe got a little spoilt at not having to 'care' so to speak at this time of year, and just waiting for the playoffs to begin.

did the pens lose just to try to keep us out of the playoffs? the f***

were not catching toronto

need to hope the rangers lose more than we do

We have two games left against Toronto. Not saying we're going to catch them but I guess it isn't impossible IF you can win those two games.

I like that the games mean something - this time of year we're all sitting around yawning just waiting for the playoffs to begin.

That being said, here's NY's schedule:

SUN MAR 16, 2014 SHARKS RANGERS

TUE MAR 18, 2014 RANGERS SENATORS

FRI, MAR 21, 2014 RANGERS BLUE JACKETS

SAT MAR 22, 2014 RANGERS DEVILS

MON MAR 24, 2014 COYOTES RANGERS

WED MAR 26, 2014 FLYERS RANGERS

FRI MAR 28, 2014 RANGERS FLAMES

SUN MAR 30, 2014 RANGERS OILERS

And here's Detroit's:

SUN MAR 16, 2014 RED WINGS BLACKHAWKS 7:30 PM NBCSN, TSN2

TUE MAR 18, 2014 MAPLE LEAFS RED WINGS 7:30 PM FS-D

THU MAR 20, 2014 PENGUINS RED WINGS 7:30 PM NHLN-US, FS-D

SAT MAR 22, 2014 RED WINGS WILD 2:00 PM FS-D

SUN MAR 23, 2014 WILD RED WINGS 7:30 PM NBCSN

TUE MAR 25, 2014 RED WINGS BLUE JACKETS 7:30 PM NBCSN, TSN2, FS-D

THU MAR 27, 2014 CANADIENS RED WINGS 7:00 PM RDS, TSN, FS-D

SAT MAR 29, 2014 RED WINGS MAPLE LEAFS 7:00 PM CBC, NHLN-US, FS-D

SUN MAR 30, 2014 LIGHTNING RED WINGS 5:00 PM FS-D

NY definitely has the easier road. We have the team, in spite of the injuries, to pull this off. Hopefully they're looking at this the way we are and Babs finds a way to light a fire under these guys.

3 points behind the rags with 3 games in hand. We're far from out of it, just got to hang in there until we get bodies back. Washington also isn't much of a concern at this point as we have 3 games in hand on them as well, and ROW advantage.

Exactly this. Consistency is essential for us just even hang in there. Its definitely doable, just gotta get on a roll and survive this week
