Franzen is very off tonight and that goal was a beauty.  s***.

Dan Cleary is an Xbox 360.  While good for a while, it's time for the new generation to take over.

Howard with a terrible piece of goaltending.

No pokecheck, no nothing.  Just drifted wide like an idiot and left the entire net open.

Hossa destroys Franzen. Everyone but Kenny Holland knew this in 2009.

My real and only problem with Howard is that he does not understand his major deficiencies an refuses to work on them (poke checking and stick handling )
Get me a real fourth line Kenny!

A change would benefit Babcock as much as the Wings.  Coaches move on not because they're no longer good, but because the players just don't respond to them anymore.  We need a different philosophy and to shake things up.  Doesn't mean Babcock isn't a good coach anymore.  A change is needed.

We need to look at Peter Laviolette.  Cup winner who made the Finals with two different teams.  He'd demand immediate respect and would be a fresh change.  Also, as far as I know, he has no strange man crush on players like Sammy or Cleary.  Babcock does.

Dude I was just thinking during the Olympics how awesome have Laviolette as our coach would be

This might be getting a little heated. Just know I don't hate any of you guys.

That doesn't mean that I respect ideas & opinions. Some ideas & opinions are ridiculous.

In fact, if you confront my ideas & opinions, that will lead to a discussion. (We're on a discussion board after all. Don't forget that!)

Holland can watch this s*** himself, I'm going to get my drink on.

These losers could at least have the common decency to goon it up.

We're last in the league in fighting majors and we can no longer brag that we're a playoff team.  Give the fans something to cheer about.

So we're behind Washington, and they aren't even in the playoffs. I don't even know what it's like for Detroit to not make the playoffs, gonna be.... weird. Z getting surgery was the final straw, dude is the heart and soul of this team.

The hockey Gods will punish Hossa for changing allegiances like 10 times in his career.

And for killing Bryan Berard.

Nothing to see here really.

Chicago won a game they should have won.  Detroit lost a game they should have lost.

Completely healthy defending Stanley Cup champions at home vs. half of an AHL roster decimated with injuries.  Big shocker of a result.

One thought - I was under the impression that it had been clearly established that Smith and Quincey should never, under any circumstances, be on the ice at the same time.... apparently I was wrong in my thinking.

I can't believe people are still ripping Holland and Babcock for this... We are EASILY a top 3 team in the Atlantic when relatively healthy.

Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Helm, Weiss, Jurco, Andersson... I really like what Glendening brings, but come on... on a regular team Glendening and Emmerton wouldn't even be there.

This season is because on the injuries not coaching, etc.
