I think bart has been looking good the last few games.

Bert has been very effective defensively playing with Glen and Miller.

My dog is very effective playing defensively with Glen and Miller. I think Franzen and Quincy are very underrated here and Bert is overrated. Poor D skills and very minimal O skills. Essentially a SO specialist at this point in his career.

Maybe he hasn't been scoring. But he's been far from hot garbage

if one thing has been made clear with these injuries, it's that tatar/nyquist are not players in the mold of datsyuk/zetterberg - they aren't the guys that are going to carry your team.  they're secondary players.

Do you even watch the games?

I would trade Franzen this off season for a top 4 d-man. The kids that are up and in the system will replace him no problem. I like players that try every night. He does not.

So how is going to call out Franzen for him being quiet of late?

Agreed.

Quincey reminds me alot of Lilja...When they play/ed well they tend to go unnoticed, but when they messed up - the board here blows up.

Franzen is the epitome of hot/cold...I don't expect Holland of even thinking about moving Franzen, and that's a shame.

Sarcasm or hard-core trolling... Fatty's known for it.

For a legit #1 or #2... I might bite.  ...but what team can just give away that caliber of defenseman for as F. Michael put it so well.  "The epitome of hot/cold."

So how who is going to call out Franzen for him being quiet of late?

Should be Kronwall or Alfie.

Agreed.

Quincey's play more often than not gives me heart palpitations. Maybe I'm watching him too closely and I just expect him to make a blunder.

Franzen is so frustrating for this reason.  Love the cap-hit.  Don't love the streakiness.

Imma let you finish, and your cap numbers are all good and all that, but imma let Kenny figure it out. Kenny's cap numbers were the best cap numbers this year.

There is a double standard when it comes to Franzen though, as soon as he goes a couple games without registering a pt he gets called out for being streaky, but when compared to the rest of the team he's no streakier than anyone else yet I never see anyone else getting saddled with the label.

This is the longest each of our top scorers have gone without a pt.

Datsyuk - 4 games

Zetterberg - 4 games

Franzen - 5 games

Nyquist - 5 games

Alfredsson - 6 games

Tatar - 7 games

Difference is each one besides Tatar have other things they bring to the table. Franzen doesn't.

Datsyuk and Zetterberg bring better defence than Franzen. What exactly do the other's bring that Franzen doesn't?

He's as good or better defensively than the other 3 so it seems to me you're just illustrating my point.

Stretch run to make the playoffs. Missing key players, but pushing on as a team. Kids are hauling the mail.

What has Franzen been up to? 1 assist and -4 in the last 9 games.

Defense, leadership, magic hands, etc etc. I and most importantly GIVE 100% EVERY GAME....Franzen not so much. Hell at least Tatars tries defensively, granted he fails at it. But he actually makes an effort.

BUT BUT BUT HE HAD 9 goals in four games !!!! He is the bestest!!!!

No surprise to me he isn't doing much when it matters most. Hell majority of the time he doesn't.
