3/23 GDT: Red Wings vs Wild

That was a perfect deflection, looked liked an alley-oop in basketball. That second point would have been nice because we would have been 3 up on Columbus. f***! Oh well, 3 out of 4 points isn't bad. Columbus is going to bring it Tuesday.

I hope for the Wild's sake that these refs will be there for them in the playoffs because the Wings played a pretty bad game and only lost because of the laughable reffing. Looks like the Wild will be a nice first round bye for some lucky team.

Yeah, all those turnovers were the "refs" fault.

still managed to gain ground on Toronto and Columbus today so its not all bad. We didn't really deserve it tonight. Refs made it a little easier for Min by letting them get away with that chop on kronner that lead to a goal and not even providing a makeup call the rest of the game - there were plenty of opportunities to call something on the wild.

I'd rather give the 2nd point up to a team not fighting us for a playoff spot than otherwise. I'll take the point and run, especially the way our d was on their heels too much late in the game.

Fortunate to get a point. Still disappointing to not get the second. Probably not a great thing to have Kindl and Lashoff out there in OT, as both had really rough games. Jimmy, Gus and Tatar basically stole a point though because the Wild badly outplayed the Wings. Franzen is back to being disinterested in hockey -- such an infuriating player to watch.

Overall, the Wings got 7 of a possible 8 points with a depleted lineup against good opponents. These next four games are equally important in the playoff race.

They weren't that bad, that's the point. Every call against the Wings isn't a bad call and every non call against the opposition isn't because of poor officiating. There is no anti Red Wing conspiracy by Bettman, the officials, the NHL or NBC.

No bad calls happen what im saying is that in a game where they only managed 16 shots and had some very bad giveaways when bad calls happen you really don't have a chance, Kronwall's stick getting chopped, Tatar getting tripped, etc. The Franzen no goal yesterday was even worse but it didn't end up hurting the team because they played much better overall than tonight. The huge positive from all this is that they still managed a point even though they didn't play as well as they have in those past 3 games.
