Howard was OK and made some good saves, but it just seems like every goal he allows is from him flailing all over the place.

At least Callahan looked a lot more of an NHL player than Ferraro did.

Nice one Mitch (Y)

Lovely to see howard completely outplayed by a no name rookie.

Mcelhinny is hardly a no name rookie rather a Joey Macdonald type but your point stands
Get me a real fourth line Kenny!

The GWG gaol shouldn't have counted, and the refs were a train wreck, but that doesn't excuse the Wings not named Tatar or Nyquist for showing up. Just a terrible showing in a big game.

So, with the Caps losing in OT and the Leafs losing in regulation...we're in the second wild card spot now, yes?

Imma let you finish, and your cap numbers are all good and all that, but imma let Kenny figure it out. Kenny's cap numbers were the best cap numbers this year.

You can't blame Cleary, though, because it's hard to show up when you're not given a chance to play.

Mr. April should be playing right now.

I thought you liked him back from his days in Calgary.

McEhinlleny? I remember him not being able to stop a beach ball any time he played for the Flames. So of course he's the guy who beats us tonight.

That's a huge flaw in his game. There are a few things he does very badly yet for some reason (ego idk ) he does not seem to work on

That "3rd line" sucks balls ... Bertuzzi needs to be scratched and glendening and maybe miller 4th line

The only line we got is the kids line ....mules been a sleep for a while , I'd keep him with legwand and move up nyquist again and put jurco with the kids and out Alfie on the 3rd line to hopefully give us another line that can score with helm and someone else who can actually shoot

Ughhhh just frustrated right now and I got my stupid friend who's a rangers fan texting me and pissing me off

Stupid bettman

 If by some miracle we get into the playoffs, and he's healthy, you KNOW he's got a spot on the 1st PP. :hehe:

most important game of the year and jimmy cannot control the important save. Babs will never get coach of the year by playing useless players in huge games, bertuzzi has no business being anywhere near the ice. He is cancer. Franzen is useless. I am done with his streaks. Play 5 games disappear for 5 weeks. None if you can defend him. Jimmy cannot make an important save to save his life.

not even mentioning the obvious, but players Detroit can do better without and should not be here next season: Howard, Kindl, Quincey, Helm, Franzen. This team is in the playoffs without those guys here.

Blew a huge opportunity. I don't even know what to say anymore about the NHL and its officiating. The past three games were disgusting. Situational calls, disallowed goal, making up rules about the net being off. They have their hands far too often on the outcome of games.

As for the Wings, everyone stunk besides the kid line and Helm. The bottom-six works hard, but there is absolutely no offensive skill from those players. Franzen and Alfredsson wearing the A's which stand for atrocious. Nice veteran leadership there from those two as no-shows in the biggest game of the season. Pav really needs to come back soon because this is a one line team offensively.

Winning streak, followed by two losses. Seems to be the trend of the season. They can't let it spiral beyond tonight. Gotta get two points on Thursday.

They're not going to go undefeated the rest of the season.  They will hopefully win more games than they lose, but other teams are fighting for playoff spots also.
