Great game for the Wings. Howard was great besides the last minute flub where Smith saved his ass. LGW!! Need to get into that 1st Wild Card spot. Boston is nearly unbeatable.

Don't we have a winning record against them this year?

Phaneuf just awful again tonight, -3, captain of the team, makes a lot more money than Kronwall.

Just wanted to toss that little fact out there.

He was. Not only in numbers, he was also on the ice on Helms shorthander which might be one of the worst defensive plays I ever saw. It's their D that is the problem, not their goalie. Sounds familiar somehow.....

We do, but they're a much better team than they were. That one's almost certainly gonna be a loss.

If we lose every game in OT we are guaranteed in? thats what I read from that website. Need 8 points it seems.

Tiebreakers tho.

Where do these strange numbers come from. 6.5% for the Leafs? What are they, 10 points out or something.

Way too early to celebrate. Don't forget, we just came off a s*** losing streak and have too many tough games left.

Jackets and Wings have two games in hand, both teams have the tiebreaker and both teams are two points up. What that means is that Toronto essentially has to win out and Wings/Jackets can only get 9 points in the last 8 games. The odds of the Leafs winning out are insanely low, especially given how they've been playing.

Leafs are done, Capitals are the main threat. Essentially three teams vying for two spots.

They need to gain 3 points on us in in their 6 games compared to our 8. Nobody is celebrating yet, but at this point Washington is the team to worry about staying ahead of.

No doubt the Wings can't lay off the gas. They still have to win games.

Those percentages change so fast. This team can easily lose the next two games. Tampa and Boston. I don't care about what are odds are, until we're actually IN every game will have me a nervous wreck.

All we're doing is laughing at the Leafs. I personally think the Wings will make the playoffs, but by no means do I think it is anywhere close to a done deal.

They're in control of the spot though. 2 points over Washington, 2 points and 2 games in hand over Toronto, and the tie breaker over both teams. All they have to do is win and they're in, Toronto and Washington need to have another team stumble.

Toronto needs to have 2 teams stumble, on top of getting their own act together. Their goalies are burnt out.
