Breakdown of NHL Injuries by Country of Origin

Just curious if anyone has seen something like this and where one could find it (post it here is you know where to find it please). Everyone gets injured but I am wondering who is the most injury prone and my guess is the Swede's. With all the injuries we've had the past fews seasons I'm thinking the Swede's are the most likely to break down and thats why the past fews season we are being crushed by injuries. Lidstrom is the only exception I can think of that didnt spend much time on the shelf.

Is Don Cherry paying you to ask this question?? :)

Seriously though, if you go here:

http://www.mangameslost.com/nhl-man-games-lost-chip-tmitt-april-1-2014/

You could calculate this based on the rankings, but it would be pretty tedious, there's 864 players that have been 'injured' this season and missed time because of it.

Leading the way are:

75 Sheldon Souray #44 (Canada) 75 Mattias Ohlund (Sweden) 75 Marc Savard (Canada) 75 Brian Lee (USA) 75 Chris Pronger (Canada) 74 Marc-Andre Bourdon (Canada) 74 Raffi Torres (Canada) 69 Jack Hillen (USA) 62 Davis Drewiske (USA) 62

Now these are the first 10 names, and I see only one swede there…..

good luck trying to figure it out. Remember you have to do it per capita. There are far more Canadians than everyone else, then americans, etc..... it is nteresting to note that Canada has more players than all other countries combined, but the US also has more players than all other countries combined minus Canada.
