Way closer then the game should have been.

Totally agree. That was WAY too close for comfort man. They let their foot off the gas bigtime. Oh well, two points is two points. Huge game tomorrow.

Whoever iced that puck should sit the next game.

That was Pavel... imo it wasn't a terrible decision with our timeout left. Now, Quincey I think it was who had the puck under control after the faceoff and didn't manage to get it out of the zone.. that's bad.

Terrible last 2 periods. This team is so frustrating like that. Could have been an easy 6-0 game, we could have rested guys and given ourselves a great opportunity tomorrow.

But wins are all that matters now and with Chicago helping us out we are looking good.

Ugly third, but our boys got the two points. Is that a four game win streak?

With the losses by CBJ and WAS, a good night. Congrats to Alfie for the GWG. I hope Jimmy is OK after that weird play when he went down awkwardly behind the net. I think regardless, Gustavsson should get the start tomorrow night.

Yup, and 7 out of their last 10. Glad they're winning at the right time :D

Should have been an easier win, but hopefully they were looking through Buffalo onto the Habs. Huge night for the Wings tonight though with Columbus and Washington losing in regulation.

Edit: Dats wasn't noticeable really at all besides some Datsyukian dekes here and there. Not expecting much from him since he has been out so long, but hopefully he can get back onto his game before the playoffs start.

The Habs are f****** scary right now. Hope we bring it tomorrow.

Also: 21 fart gun salute for Don Van Massenhoven! You will be missed.

We killed the Sens last time we played them too. The Habs are a good team, but I do not fear them they are nothing compared to the Bruins whom we just beat. If the Wings bring their game, they get a huge W tomorrow night.

Psh, I don't fear the Habs! I'll never truly fear a Therrien team. But, generally, they've really been clicking - and being without Murray makes them that much better. Plus, it's the Bell Center.

Basically, what we did in the first period tonight? Do that for three periods.

If we win tomorrow and Leafs lose..don't we clinch a spot?

I...think? If it's a ROW, then even if we lost the rest of our games and Toronto pulled off three ROWs, we'd have the tie-breaker still by one. Am I right?

You mean hockey is supposed to be played for three periods, not just one? Quick someone tell the Wings.

It wasn't exactly pretty, and a bit more close than I would have anticipated, but a win is a win and it's still two points if the score is 3-2 or 7-2.

Tougher game tomorrow against Montreal, Patches had a 5 point night tonight and has been on fire lately. We need the D to show up and shut down their offense or it might be a rough one.

I'll have the GDT posted up tonight regardless.
