Guest L3T5G0W1NG5 Report post Posted April 9, 2014 He doesn't suck, but it would have been nice to have him coached the preds to a stanley cup, that has always been the dream of the preds fans to say that our only coach in the teams history coached them to a stanley cup No offense, but not even Babcock could coach the Preds to a Stanley Cup. PredsFanTheBayouState 263 Report post Posted April 10, 2014 The Dating Game: Three Possible Suitors for Nashville's Head Coaching Job Assuming the Nashville Predators make a head coaching change at season's end, which candidate would best implement a new perspective and philosophy for the Blue and Gold? Peter Laviolette, Guy Boucher and Lane Lambert have different methods and levels of success in hockey, but can any of them turn the ship around for Nashville? http://www.ontheforecheck.com/2014/4/9/5576684/nashville-predators-head-coach
Guest L3T5G0W1NG5 Report post Posted April 10, 2014 Honestly, this is the second time a Tennessee topic was created on this forum. The first one was closed. I understand that this is hockey related - however, even though the Nashville Predators forum was closed, this shouldn't be your second home for Nashville Predators discussion. Jersey Wing 1,521 Report post Posted April 10, 2014 Trotz seems like a good person and a guy who is devoted to the game. A Red Wings only forum? One of the oldest threads that pops up from time to time is about the Leafs. Anyhow, I think Trotz would be great in Edmonton. I wouldn't wish it on him to go up to Vancouver...

MaynardJmzKeenan 18 Report post Posted April 10, 2014 I wish no neck could stay:-( he's a great coach imo, and think he'd have us back in playoffs if not next year, the year after. With Jones and Jarnkrok young up and comers and Webber, future looks bright...let's go pRed Wings 2 PredsFanTheBayouState and Hockeymom1960 reacted to this
Nev 1,085 Report post Posted April 10, 2014 One of the best in the game IMO. If I'm the Leafs, Canucks, or Oilers, I'm looking hard at this guy. Capitals too. Maybe he can coach Ovechkin in this thing called "back-checking"
Dave 324 Report post Posted April 10, 2014 having mixed feelings about this,i like trotz and he is a good coach that works hard with what he has got,but as shea weber said yesterday after losing to the Stars:It sucks. I hate it. Everyone in here hates it, and it's not a good feeling. Something's got to change. We have to get better, and we have to find a way to get into the postseason." Spend to the cap. amato 3,210 Report post Posted April 10, 2014 I'd love to see what trotz could do with the young/skilled forward group on the oilers. And I'm sure they'd love to have him.... basically depends on what he wants to do. Toronto does make sense as much as I'd rather see him elsewhere..
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted April 10, 2014 Just to back up what Harold said, the other Tennessee thread was closed because it was political. Politics don't belong on this particular forum. But this IS a General Discussion forum and any hockey topic is welcome provided there isn't another forum already (like Trade Rumors, Prospects, etc.). In fact, the wider we cast our net for discussions the more interesting we become.

TheXym 2,606 Report post Posted April 11, 2014 Trotz is a good coach, imho, and will have no problems finding a new job. Personally, I have no problems with the Preds threads, as the posters who start them have generally been good contributing posters rather than trolls like certain individuals who are fans of other franchises. I appreciate the info and their perspective. 2 marcaractac and PredsFanTheBayouState reacted to this

FireCaptain 563 Report post Posted April 11, 2014 I can never find the article because I think it was an tv thing I watched, but Babcock's big thing was "[paraphrasing] A man should change things up about every 10 years. After 10 years, it doesn't matter what line of work he's in, he becomes ineffective." He's coming up on 10 years soon.. He may be the one to make the choice despite the success. If this is true, how long until a majority of people are calling for Babcock's firing? Yikes. FYI: I created this thread, not Bayou.. It's HOCKEY related no matter the zip code it comes from. There are infinite threads talking about every other NHL team, why are you so offended by the Preds? Honestly, this is the second time a Tennessee topic was created on this forum.
