the CBJ need one more physical scorer.

they aren't able to possess the puck in the s***zburgh zone and it's killing them.  They are expending all their energy on defense.

Allegedly you're a Wings fan - if the choice is that tough you haven't been paying attention for the past 8 or 9 years....hating on the CBJ is like a being a Patriots fan and hating on the Browns....

Don't take it from fans on LGW, take it from his peers. NHL players have spoken and they think Tootoo is the dirtiest player in the league.

Get a clue already.

Whelp.  Missed opportunity there for Columbus.  Really wanted them to win that too.  They started out great, but looked like they were skating in glue by the third.

They were...given the number of young kids playing I can't say I'm really shocked.  Giving up the 2 goal lead took most of the wind out of their sails.

Hmmmm, Pit down by 2 and they get two straight powerplays to tie it up....how strange.

and that is why I am so glad we aren't playing Pit.

Or could it be that more talented teams are able to draw more penalties with their speed and play?

*stares creepily for a while* no. They are dirty and dive to get penalties called.

It is typical of around here....complain about reffing....non-stop, even when the Wings aren't playing.  It does get pretty tiresome.

I'll admit to not watching most of the game last night, but from what I saw, CBJ got away with taking a ton of liberties, there was definitely no favouritism going the Pens way from the little that I saw.

From a pure stats perspective, CBJ took a grand total of 3 penalties during the game (yup, gotta be a conspiracy here).  Pens took 4 penalties by the way, theirs were all well deserved of course.

Can we be a bit more original around here (at least when the Wings aren't playing against them?)

I thought that game was officiated pretty well actually.

Especially the chip and chase penalties. If that game is any indication, the Wings had better be careful. If a guy chips the puck past you, DON'T TOUCH HIM!

I agree, the first two periods were absolutely punishing and the only penalties where for s*** like interference and the like.  That tells me the rough stuff is ok, just don't obstruct.  I can live with that.

Shout out to my boy Brandon Dubinsky who apparently loves the s*** out of cross checking Sidney.

If a player has position on him it shouldn't be interference, and the wings have been called on a lot of those this year, even when we had the position on the guy trying to get by.

I can agree with that, but what I saw being called were penalties like Scuderi's where the puck was chipped past him and then he proceeded to skate in front of the guy's skating space to slow him down. That should be a penalty every time.

I didn't watch the game so I can't argue either way on that. Just thought I'd add my 2 cents about that type of call.
