Advice for Trip to Detroit

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Long time reader on this forum and finally decided to join, sorry if this in the wrong section. Anyway, I'm doing a road trip from Edmonton to Detroit for game 4, and was just looking for some advice on where to watch other games while on the road and while in Detroit. It's a long drive and don't want to miss the other games so I was wondering whether anyone would know if the series would be televised in other states (North Dakota, Minnesota, etc.) as I drive down. Any other advice on what to do or see while in Detroit would also be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Most Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants I've been to have Center Ice and while I lived in Iowa and Indiana I could always watch the games there. The food is kind of expensive though, especially if you have some beers to go along with it. Aside from that I believe they'll play most games on NBC Sports and I think Sunday's game in on NBC, so if you're at a hotel then odds are you'll have the channels.

I think if you have a smartphone then you can get the TuneIn radio app and listen to the games on 97.1 the Ticket if all else fails.

It wouldn't help you on the drive down, but when I go to games in Detroit I usually stay in Windsor.

Its a very cheap and fast shuttle bus you get at the greyhound station that drops you right at the arena and any of the bars in Windsor will have every game available through the various Canadian networks.

Coming from Edmonton though you'll be coming from the opposite direction and staying in Windsor probably isn't as beneficial for you.
