I wish Montreal would start losing so they can get knocked out and tsn.ca can cover some better teams more proportionately. Anyone else kinda rooting for Filipula too?

(Holy crap what a beautiful power play by Montreal... what puck movement)

Hasn't been much reason to. The boys came to play. If Franzen switches from Ass mode to Mule mode, look out.

Both calls made were legit, no ticky-tack calls. The only real gripe I have is the missed spear by Lucic.

I've said it before, both teams deserve a fairly and consistently called game. :)

I think the issue with Franzen is not that he's a floater it's that he gives up on a play too easily. That being said I think he looks good today.

Isn't the nut-shot like a classic NHL play, though? If you guys remember watching hockey in the 90s, wasn't that standard stuff? And kind of a reason we liked hockey and saw it as more aggressive and intense than Football?

It may but I was and never a fan of that kind of hockey. I love big clean hits but the head shots and nut shots are bulls***.

Franzen was right... He's not a goal scorer

I loved that article about Franzen this week.

"Thanks for reminding, man, [that I haven't scored]"

"My goal is not to score goals. Heck, it's not even 5th on my list."

ROFL.

Kind of. He played two or three nifty passes but also missed a great chance and lost that puck in a horrible way on the PP. He's a double edged sword right now. Strange for a player of his caliber and experience.

I agree. While he screwed up on the PP, he's been throwing his weight around and getting involved, driving the net. Just gotta put the puck in the net.

Wings are playing well, and that was a terrific period. PP sucked, but still, the Bruins came out hard at the start but we pushed straight back. Big 3rd coming up now, we gotta find a way to get one.

Not sure what ranks higher on his "list", but I'm pretty confident he isn't doing those things either. Unless floating around like a bum is on there, then I'm sold.

Yeah, the nut shot has never been anything I liked or anybody else.

I watched all 23 minutes of that "23 minute video of the Detroit Red Wings hitting the bejesus out of people in the playoffs the past 23 years" video and I missed the hell out of the days of Konstantinov et al. - none of them nut shots.
