Good lord you have a short memory. Ozzie and Hasek combined for the Jennings trophy the year we won the cup. Howard was our team last year. Hasek was our fn goalie in 2002.

I'm just saying, Rask will win the Vezina and we haven't had that when we were finishing first every year. Even Hasek didn't win in that year (not saying Rask is better than Hasek).

This series is gonna be won on the way the games are played, meaning if it's played like game 1, wings have a great chance of winning, if it's played like today (after the whistle BS, lots of penalties) we will lose. Pp needs serious work tho

I agree. All they have to do (aside from fixing the power play) is say, "Do what we did in Game 1. Don't do what we did in Game 2."

I would play Sproul right now sparingly and for PP in this series, much in the way Krig was brought in to Boston last year. Oulette would be there now IMO if Marchwnko didn't go down.

Exactly. He was brutal on Chara's goal. Waving his stick in the air while Chara bangs home the loose puck. Seriously doubt Sproul and/or Oullette could be any worse.

Well, he's young, has two games of NHL postseason experience, and he's playing the Bruins. And yet, he's probably our second best defenseman. The slashing penalty was costly and 100% on him, but I've no issue with his play.

We need Zetterberg to return to win this series. Franzen and Alfie look done, no matter what line they're on.

Babcock does need to mix the lines, though, because it's not working right now.

None of Datsyuk's linemates can handle his plays. So freaking maddening. These lines just aren't optimized. Thank God for last change at home.

The wings can win the series if they play each game like the first one. Can they do this? In reality, NO. We have too many error prone players which leads to penalties and hence goals against. The writing is on the wall as exemplified by today's game.

So has Holland by not improving this defense over the years. We've got one defenseman hurt, so that results in a scrub like Lashoff having to be inserted into the lineup. What does that say about our depth?

Slow down. I'm not going to defend anything Holland has done. But other than Datsyuk, Boston has dominated every single legit NHL player on this roster as well as the AHL-level defense.

This team has been barely squeaking into the playoffs the past few years for a reason. they aren't that good. Boston is on a completely new level compared to Anaheim last year.

Wouldn't count on it. Only consistent thing in Franzens game is that he is invisible 2/3rds of a season and hasn't shown up for the playoffs since 2010

Ya let Boston try the BS stuff after the whistle, take it and go to the bench. Don't get goated into their game and obviously the pp needs work. On a positive note I thought we've played really well 5 on 5 since the end of the 1st, and pavel datsyuk is far and away the best player in this series
