Oh please. I know you don't want me anywhere near your chatroom.

I'll only join in if Dabura and kipwinger do.

Well, on a positive note, the NBCSN intermission show isn't faulting Smith for the knee/trip call. Basically, "he was on a track and didn't move his leg out any more but gets caught by the guy going around him".

It was more of a knee on thigh.

Strongly disagree.

Obviously those guys were key, but it's not like the Wings were winning them 10-3. There were a lot of young guys and role players doing the little things necessary to help eek out those wins.

It took the kind of commitment and grinding effort that Babcock preaches.

Sure, the kid line was great as well. Also not playing together so far this series.

And I strongly disagree with the "grinding effort won us games" statement. Look back over our schedule. We lost most of our 1-0 or 2-1 games. We won (down the stretch) when Nyquist, Tatar, or Franzen scored two or three goals between them and Jurco or Sheahan chipped in another.

Edit: And the only reason any of those high scoring games where close is because after taking a big lead, we'd "lock down" in the third, blow said lead, and wait for Nyquist or Tatar to bail us out.

And notice that Marshmouth raised the other knee as he was helped skating off. Faker! ****** bag

Actually, I think what pisses me off the most about this is that it really is the Nashville series all over again. Perimeter, perimeter, perimeter. We're suppose to have grown since then. We're supposed to be tougher, harder, gutsier, heavier, younger, faster, way more aggressive. Instead, we look like a shell of a team.

Granted, it's impossible to overstate how much we miss Z and E right now.

We're not scoring. And that's an issue.

But, Howard saves the you-have-to-save-that softy, and this is a one-shot game, and we're probably way more engaged and "with-it."

We put so much stock in him being The Guy, and how we're only gonna go as far as he goes. And then, shockingly, he doesn't set the world on fire, and that's all she wrote.

Same sort of thing with Franzen, I guess. He gets the benefit of the doubt and is always put in a position to succeed, and he does nothing when we need him the most.

Even Datsyuk, he needs to strap the team on his back here.

meh

If Detroit came out flying and then noticeably started slacking off after that goal, you'd have a point.

How do you explain Detroit slacking off and playing with no sense of urgency to start the game, and only starting to play with some degree of focus once they were down 2 goals?

I just can't tolerate non competing. Wings have tyet to show up. The bruins are the better team but we are not even competing.

If we roll over in this series i dont want to hear the talking heads focusing on the bruins are just better and thus is What was supposed to happen. We are not even skating. I hope it changes before i fall asleep.

How did Andersson jump Bert on the depth chart?

Andersson's a solid PKer and good at faceoffs. Plus, he was good in the playoffs last season.

Bert's going to take stupid penalties. That's about it.

At this point, though? I'll take Bertuzzi if it helps the team.

We always start slow. It's a Red Wings tradition.
