And does anyone still think it's not important to get the jump on Boston as opposed to giving away the momentum easy? I don't care who's in net or who's taking penalty, bottom line is you've got to get the jump against a team like Boston. You can't give anything away early.

Would feel better with a 2-0 lead. Man, The wings had tons of shots from the hash area and missed the net. At least hit the net, don't respect rask too much. Hes just a man. Hes cut! Hes not a machine, hes a man!

Yes, that's why im furious with howard. He did it in both games 2 and 3 singlehandedly.

Great period. Our usual mistakes, but at least they showed up for more than the first 5 minutes tonight.

No. My original statement was referencing Jaime, then kip posted Bruce Campbell (who is from Detroit) as Ash (not a horror movie fan? For shame), to which I responded hail to the king, baby, which was one of his catch phrases. You with me?

Now go watch Evil Dead/Evil Dead 2/Army of Darkness immediately.

OOooooooooooooohhhh. Ok. No, never really got into horror. *goes to watch evil dead and remembers wings are playing*

Has anybody (the media, coaching staff, etc.) commented on why Monster is in net tonight? Has Jimmy commented? This was a huge decision and I was blown over when I saw Monster in net at game time. I'm surprised it's not plastered all over LGW. This is a series changing decision. AND KUDOS BABS!!! Very very smart decision to put in Monster even though Jimmy wasn't awful. Motivates the team, Monster is great versus Boston, and he was clutch all year in the regular season. Also liking his decision to put in some more vets. Even if I like Jurco and the kids more than Bert... by far... I still think it's smart to put an experienced, big body Bert out there in front of the net. This is the perfect type of series for calm but mean Bert. Oh yeah, how is Z back? How can you play hockey after getting back surgery a few months earlier? He took a few big hits and I cringed. Guy is a machine. I knew he'd be back when needed because nobody has a better work ethic than Z and I figured he'd train like a machine and get back in the game probably twice as quick as any other hockey player.

According to Khan, Jimmy was a late scratch because of the flu.

The question is if it was the flu, or the "flu." Though he was in warmups. Seems like if he was getting the hook they would've done it earlier.
