I'm really liking not having a vested interest in the game.  It's nice being able to just appreciate the game and not ***** about the refs.

Can't wait to read the "Phoenix: I still think it's a hockey market" chapter of Gary Bettman's autobiography. I'm guessing it's going to be chapter 11.

I hope we don't get too used to that.  :cheesy:

You are correct, sir.

Dear hockey gods:

When I said I enjoyed watching a SCF game that I didn't have a vested interest in, that was not a suggestion that this happen on a regular basis.  The Wings can make the finals (and win) every single year and I will be ever so much more happy.  Please accept my offering of a He Who Shall Not Be Named (but you know who) sacrifice to appease you.

Seriously, Kings fans?  Chanting "Lundquist" after your second goal?  Did you forget Quick was scored on twice first?

Doughty! 2-2. This has six or seven games written all over it.

Stellar backchecking on the part of the Rags.  They may not score on the PK this time, but they're doing a great job keeping the Kings from scoring as well.

I apologize if it was mentioned previously, but why is Doc not broadcasting this game?

(FWIW I do not care for his broadcasting, but I am honestly curious as to why he is not doing the game)

Stralman with a couple big hits tonight. Would I be ok with signing him? Yes, I'd be ok with signing him.

Doughty's gotta calm down.

Horse racing is still more important than NHL hockey.

I hate that call in Game 1 of the SCF with two minutes left. The refs see a broken stick and it's always automatic.

Doughty's gotta calm down.

I know.  One of the announcers was talking about how Doughty was getting emotional and he's usually so composed, which isn't true at all.

Doughty's biggest problem is he lets his emotions get the best of him at times.  Dustin Brown was just saying the other day how he and Greene and other vets sometimes have to get him to settle down and channel that emotion in a positive way.

The Kings rally from 2-0 defecits routinely well.

It'd be nice if they more  games where they didn't dig themselves a hole first.
