Keep a cool head. Sometimes its the moves that don't get done

And sometimes, those moves that don't get done year after year after year add up along with the really bad moves that do get done year after year and then we can't even overpay to sign the guys we want...

I forget who that drunk guy was but in three words, he summed up Ken Hollands efforts as a GM since Scotty left...and it should be etched on his headstone....ready? All together now!

that's the JUCK f****** POTT!

I'd post the picture, but it always gets deleted for some reason.

As far as I'm concerned Holland has done the best job he could unless he trades away a young player for garbage. Free agebts don't want to come here? Fine build a winner from within then. Draft well. Develop even better. All things he has oversaught durring his tenure.

Hard to "build from within" when the team is committed to making the playoffs every year. If the Wings were to really go with a youth movement, I would support it. But the team is just treading water.

Completely disagree with that. The wings have a ton of NHL talent that can step into action this season. Teams usually only have 3 or 4 players. The Wings farm is loaded. They need to develop and they need to stay healthy. Yes I'm disapointed about missing out on Erhoff. Niskanen Boyle not so much. It's about the right fit. I.think Erhoff fit the other 2 did not. Go with what ya got now or trade for that RH dman.

I'm gonna try to rationalize this again.

Being a bubble team again, or maybe even missing the playoffs, means we're getting a good pick in what will be a great draft. Also, with some plugs not returning (fingers crossed), we get to see what some of these young players are really made of and where we really stand when half the team isn't injured (again, fingers crossed). Maybe one of them becomes a legitimate star. Maybe we end up with a surprisingly good team.

F***, I can't do this with a straight face.

Guess which infamous four words he will say?

If there was a year to sign someone who could really help the defense, this was it, so maybe finally it'll go more like this:

"We like our...eh, f*** it. I quit."

Which would be totally awesome if that were what was going to happen. But instead, he'll eventually get around to re-signing Quincey, Cleary, and Alfie and no kids will play...until half our old ass team is inevitably injured two weeks into the season.

But hey, we're only about 9 months from the trade deadline...so that's something.

I would support all this but you know the Wings want to keep the streak alive.

Meszaros to BUF...pretty said when Detroit is being snubbed for Buffalo...not that I wanted him or even mentioned him, but players are signing in Buffalo and Florida for pete's sake! Who picks those teams over the Red Wings?

We provably didn't want him.. and we certainly didn't want bolland at the joke of contract Florida signed him to :P
