Give Jim Benning credit, he gets stuff done.

Wanted McCann, but Larkin is a good pick. We needed a center.

I would have preferred McCann as well. Also good defensively but with higher offensive upside IMO.

Don't be ridiculous. 9 years.

Iginla walking from Boston?

Bruins select Pastrnak. He's damn good.

If I have to hear that Philadelphia Freedom song one more time, I think I'll poke my eye out.

Wow, they did pick Larkin. Thats pretty cool, this kid is about as Michigan as any of you guys could want.

He's from freaking Waterford, played for the Belle Tire club, then for USNTDP in Ann Arbor, and now he's suiting up for U of M.

Surely some of you guys know this kid?

I'm a residential advisor in one of the nicer dorms at UofM. I think it would be pretty awesome if Larkin was one of my residents! Haha

The Larkin pick is a good one. By the time he makes it to the RW's he will be in the 6-2/6-3 range and 200+ pounds. he has speed grit and NEVER quits. Give him 4 years and he will be or 2C for about 12-15 years.

Am I right in saying that you're in agreement with something KH has done??  (I'm just pulling your leg)

But yes, tremendous pick and the more I read about him, the more it seems that this kid is exactly the kind of character guy with speed and skill we need. Can't wait to follow his development at U of M.

Just a quick bump up for this thread...I thought maybe it'd be cool to see what we were saying before and after Larkin was drafted and compare it to what we are saying today! MODS you can lock this thread if you feel so no one else posts in it, but I just thought bumping it up for this week would strike some nice conversation from what we all initially thought of the pick.
