Red Wings Central says there is no known relation to Tomas.

Dan Cleary is an Xbox 360.  While good for a while, it's time for the new generation to take over.

Holmström was second best scorer in the U18 world championship after Nylander last season, apparently needs to work on his skating though.

If he needs work on his skating, he's a true Holmstrom!  Even if there's no relation.

Another 6'5 C!  Good s*** boys!  Now we have 3 6'5 forward prospects, 1 being Mantha.

Overall I'm happy with this years draft, just by the initial scouting reports and bios of these guys. I do wish we had taken a couple right handed shooters, but it is what it is.. I hope a few of them turn out to be steals in the later rounds.

I have high hopes for Larkin, Turgeon and Kadeykin. Another 7th round steal. ;)

Think the giant Russian will get a shot to make the team since he's 20?

Clearly Holland and co are thinking success in the future will be on the shoulders of big, strong centers who can play a 200 ft game.
After losing repeatedly to the Sharks, and being forced to the outside against Boston, I can't say I disagree with management.

The kings showed that this season as well, incredible center depth and size.

Like proven by the Kings you need that to win.

Holland realizes that we have great depth in the farm system at defense but the reality is Z and Dats are about 4 years away from being gone and they are stocking up on as many possible replacements as they can...thus not drafting any
defenseman.
