It's funny Kenny won't let Quincey go because he gave up a 1st rounder for him, yet he will not re-sign Legwand who he basically offered up a similar package for....

It is not just that. Cleary won't sign with Detroit unless Quincey is on the team. Kenny signed Quincy so Cleary will agree to sign with the Red Wings.

As of last night, Toronto among the interested teams awaiting word from David Legwand following contract offer.

Seriously? Has anyone looked at http://capgeek.com/mapleleafs/ and they want to add Legwand? They'll have to give him a 3 or 4 year deal, to go along with the mess they already have. The Leafs management doesn't have a clue about the cap!

Lets Go:
Red Wings
Tigers
Roughriders
Lions
Spartans
Pistons

Bring Fedorov Home For A Day!

He Needs To Retire A Red Wing.

When Gordie Leaves Us, the NHL MUST Retire The #9.

Alfie was second in points last season despite missing games and Mantha simply is not ready, he's been playing with kids his entire career.

Least they made a move to address a hole. While we did......?????

Hell they're not even going to be good and still addressed their hole on their lineup after trading spezza away.

Completely different situations, Legwand does not make us better. Holland clearly addressed our need on defense, it just didn't work out and sometimes the best move is no move.

It'd be like us replacing Datsyuk with Legwand. You'd be crying, not laughing. (And prolly ripping holland)

At least he would've made an effort then. Like when he was brought in and everyone was injured.

I had no problem getting legwand I had a problem with what was have up for him.

I get your point but at same time you're comparing Ottawa to us...really?
