This whole things makes me proud of the internet and viral videos, which I didn't believe was possible before this.

Your mothers awesome t, I haven't been a member here long enough to have known of the situation until now, but I hope you're doing well.

My principal liked the idea, but after his predecessor challenged him the next day, he went way above and beyond, roping in several other administrators to do it in a BIG way and donate $1,000. Video is on the school homepage, www.masd.info

I, and any other brave faculty members, will be doing it Tuesday during lunch of our inservice.

I hope the ALS foundation is able to transition this from a viral internet sensation to a yearly event.

Our faculty just did it, I'm the one towards the end of the line with the Dream Theater shirt. Over $350 so far, staff can donate until Friday. Not as good as the administration with the front bucket loader but still for a good cause. The video (and the administration's) is on the school web page, www.masd.info

Wow, thanks for asking.

I'm doing great. I can still hold my kids, play with them in the pool, and zipline with them at Whistler.

My parents and my brothers family joined us for a week in San Diego, then all flew to our home in Washington. We just took them to Whistler where we all, including my 75 yr old mumsy, did the longest tallest zip line in North America . (The kids did the bobsled run too, along with my wife)

My 13 yr old niece is putting together a little vacation vid, check it out (the older kids are my nephew and nieces, young one is Olivia , Lilja seemed to be sleeping a lot)

AND my life long friend from growing up in Michigan did an awesome Ice Bucket Challenge vid (he's Air Force) :

That's good to hear. As for that zip line, I wouldn't do that for all the tea in China!
