Holland interview with Mickey comment about a trade

He still posts on HFboards, but he's changed. Whereas he was Hollands biggest defender, he is now Hollands biggest critic. He's like a jilted lover - all the energy and aggression he poured into defending Holland is now directed at attacking Holland.

Yes he was. He also had a completely irrational hatred of Mark Messier that I never managed to get to the bottom of.

You'd have loved it Grimey, endless threads on why the Wings aren't tough enough and need more fighters. Huge, long, threads with the same posters going round and round arguing the same points with all posters identified as pro or anti-fighting (except we were never anti fighting, we were anti-goons who contribute nothing else, but that was always ignored). Cheerleader in chief for the pro-fighting camp was the delightfully named E.S.A.D. who regarded himself as a balanced and tolerant poster, and would always preface his attacks on the anti-fighters with something like "I know you guys can't help it, you're all euro pinko commie homo veggies, and its not your fault that you lack the intelligence to appreciate my argument, I really do understand that" and thought that made him a fair guy who saw both sides of the argument :D Anyone who disagreed with him had clearly never worn skates or been to a game ;)

Wow sounds like a lot of "fun" I never liked such behaviour. I mean, yes I'm pro fighting but if others provide reasonable arguments why they don't like it that's fine for me also. Personally speaking I'm just sick of seeing the Wings bullied, pushed around and;or smashed ellbowed for no real reason.

Do I think enforcers will change the game on the scoresheet ? No not at all but I believe they can provide some momentum swing.

Anyhow back to topic I would have loved Boychuk on that roster, he would have greatly improved our defense and two 2nds plus a third aren't a high price for Johnny B.

What's to stop Chelios from bringing back the "what's to stop Chelios" meme this season?

A little more recent, but I think one of my favorite memories was watching centcougar being revealed as a Wild fan unfold lol I felt like I was in a scooby doo mystery. "It was old man Minnesota all along"

For those who don't know or remember, he was that dude who came around and talked about how crappy our prospect pool was and how we should all be envious of say... Idk... Minnys great prospect pool? Feigning to be a wings fan the whole time. He stirred the pot quite a bit and then doom n gloomed hardcore about the wings when his beloved Parise and Suter signed with the wild. Shorty after he was revealed as Minny fan. I think he was doing this trolling bit on multiple team sites throughout the league or something.

In fact a certain poster around here used to bump elbows with centcougar quite a but, up until he was revealed as a Minny troll anyway. Actually I think he just returned the other day and his name is a synonym for wealthy or the name Richard or rhymes with ditch.
